Hope she goes on a retreat to her hidout. her being present and accounted for prior to the stand down for the holiday turned into a right donnie brook. 4 dead and dozens injured at one site, subsquent to a disappearing act of several thousand pro government supporters from said site. During all of this she was not avaliable to the press except thru her mouth piece spokespeople.

She might want to give up her Defense Minister uniform, even if its been tailored to fit as she failed on her attempt to protect the citizens on her watch. She is just having a difficult time finding a postion within the political order that she can handle, eben though the Foreign Minister is quoted as proclaiming her "a good trader". But then who would question the assisment of one of her own family?

PM cancels foreign travels

BANGKOK: -- Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra has cancelled her official visit to Russia planned for December 89 because of the current political chaos, Government spokesman Teerat Ratanasevi said on Friday.

She has also cancelled a visit to Myanmar to attend the opening ceremony of SEA Games on December 11 and assigned Deputy Prime Minister Niwatthumrong Boonsongpaisan to attend the AseanJapan meeting between December 12-15 in Tokyo on her behalf

Yingluck earlier postponed a trip to Singapore scheduled for November 26-27.

She is afraid that if she goes out, she will not be able to get back.

Indeed. Memories of 2006 must be haunting her.

Just a thought. Yingluck has just cancelled more foreign trips in 2 weeks than Abhisit got invited to in 2 and a half years. As we saw the Democrat heavyweights leaders the march and their support for this nut job its not surprising how the world views these anti government protestors and their indisputable links deep in the Democrat party

This is a novel situation, she's usually away when there is something on. tongue.png

I think even the 'nominal' PM had to be here for the Birthday of His Gracious Majesty The King of Thailand.

Would not be surprised if she went OS shopping and missed the coup !

I would like to change some flight bookings from Bangkok to Dubai.........................Yes, that's right, for myself and a party of about 100 and shitloads of suitcases ...................................................................." cheesy.gifcheesy.gifcheesy.gif

Hey, where are our usual pro red bar fly and keyboard fly trollers to heckle us about how everything PTP does is ok?

It´s amusing enough to see your increasingly desperate attempts to defend the ways of Dear Leader, Suthep Secretary General of the Peoples actions as he overtakes government buildings, forces the media to broadcast what he says is ok and so on.

Reading this forum is better than going to Khao San, people watching, in some regards... cheesy.gifcrazy.gifcheesy.gif

Didn't the reds have their channel ???? I today ---quote" Overtakes" some government buildings in my car, the brickwork is fairly solid to collide into.cheesy.gifcheesy.gif

To my thinking Yingluck must plead to other countries, requests visits rather than all these countries begging her to go, similar to your thinking.

Do you really think in her 2 and a half years countries are queuing up for to ask her ???? all these trips ??/ not the norm for the most popular of international heads.

On this occasion she is staying here. With setting the Guinness book of record for overseas trips in 2 years, she had to do all the trips herself, now the record is finalized she is appointing the person that is most suitable for the job, This should have been done on 50% of her trips.

I couldn't quite fathom why a PM who doubles as Minister of Defence goes on endless foreign trips, signing MOUs that will never again see the light of day and then when there's a crisis assigns her Foreign Minister to be charge of home security.

P.M.s have enough to do without all this BS as doubling up. Defense Minister what sort of defense background has she had ??? While were on the subject how many Deputy P.M. are they ???? if she falls sick do they have a fight night to see who becomes the top dog-just ridiculous. Imagine in the UK the FM is Dep P.M. the Edu-Minister is Dep P.M. and so on. what a farce. you couldn't make it up.

Never mind defence! What political background does she have?

A nice range of Thai smiles and an attractive pair of legs seemed to work wonders with Obama.

Edited: Perhaps I should have said political back-up

I suppose he was busy running the country, attending parliament, coming up with policies that worked, all that boring stuff our current fly-by-night (except in helicopters) PM simply can't be bothered with.

BTW you have no idea how many invitations Abhisit received and politely/quietly declined; or how many "invitations" Yingluk requested.

This news will leave PM-Yingluck with much more time for 'mulling', as well as 'monitoring', perhaps she might even get round to implementing her offer to resign and dissolve Parliament, eventually ? wink.png

Or am I simply too optimistic ? facepalm.gif

Read this.

Shopping begins with "S" and not "M" and certainly can't be allowed to interfere with attending Parliament.

PM cancels all official trips abroad

I bet the officials are mighty upset.

All 100 or so who have to travel with her, and not Economy Class.
