Lunch options around Bo Sang - San Kamphaeng

Featured Replies

G'day,

I have two separate groups of people spending a day go to Bo Sang, Hot Springs, and Baan Tawai. I am not too familiar with those areas but between those places I got to find them a lunch spot.

Two of my thoughts were after going to the Hot Springs:

  1. The Dukes at the Promenada
  2. If it's a weekday, lunch buffet at the Holiday Inn.

Do you have any other recommendations that is around the San Kamphaeng area?

thanks

Matt

Supposed to be a pasta restaurant and a Japanese one at the Promenada.

Not sure but I think they are some how connected to the Ri8mping store.

Dukes is operating and the meal I had there was as good as the ones I have had at the other two locations.

Have heard mixed reports on the Holiday Inn buffet.

Did you mean the two restaurants inside Rimping? They look expensive and if I were in that mall, I think my preference would be the Dukes.

I have been to the weekday lunch buffets a number of times in the last 2 months and it is still good (and good value), especially after the 15% discount. Food and ambience is good, and you get freshly brewed coffee every cup.

I think it is slightly better when you they are expecting a group booking, so usually Fridays is my guess.

I guess you have checked this out but seems an ambitious day to do all 3. The drive to Hot Springs is quite long and very bumpy, and to do all 3 and lunch seems a stretch.

Yes inside the Rimping. To be honest I did not pay them much attention. I just mentioned they were there.

I agree I would choose Dukes over both of them.

Been a long time since I was at the Holiday Inn just heard mixed reports on them. For my self I was not impressed but then again we don't all have the same idea of what is good and what is not. I actually preferred the Empress. But it has been quite a while since I was there. I find it is not a good idea to go to them when I am trying to lose weight. LOL

This looks really good. I will try to find it next Sunday for the buffet. It sounded really hard to find according to the blog. I am going to tell the driver of the minivan where to go (and I am not going with), so it could be a hard ask.

Should still be possible. They are the see-touch-go types, not really those that linger and shop. They just want to hit the spots and mark it off their check list.

Not cook some eggs in the hot spring, or dangle their feet in while eating ice cream?! Or wander the streets in Bo Sang or Ban twai?

Have a nice day.....thumbsup.gif

So starting out 8am, 20mins to Bosang, 25 mins to Hotsprings, 50 mins to Ban Tawai, 25 mins back into town, 1 hour for lunch, leaves you 5 hours out of a 8 hr day, so 1 hr 40 mins at each location , plenty of time !
