What was his job for the last 16 years here?

I saw one UTube with him teaching.

What annoys me is how some of the "I'm alright Jack, pull up the ladder" brigade think that, because they've had one or more periods of adversity in the past and emerged intact, it means that they've somehow endured some sort of rite of passage that entitles them to dump on a guy who's made the error of making a video about it.

Is he a pillock for not planning well enough to have more than 100,000 to fall back on ? Yeah he is but there are loads of expats here who are one medical emergency or police bribe away from a financial abyss

Is he grossly overweight? Sure he is but loads of expats are heifers. Yes i suppose many of them aren't looking for work but hey, neither was this guy before he lost his job.

Yeah he's a berk for making a video ranting at the world but that doesn't mean he's undeserving of some basic human sympathy.

Lets be honest here, from the sound of it, his whole life has been a serious of wrong/bad/ill informed desicions one after the other.

Could probably trace it back to his degree and choice of degree, assuming of course he does have one.

In the modern world a dodgy 2:2 in Media science dont quite cut it these days

Hes not a berk for making a video, hes a berk for being reactive instead of proactive.

You cant teach common sense or street smarts, this guy seems to be lacking in both.

I agree with your comment about the expats being one bill away from being skint, up to them.

Wonder how many reading this and commenting are actually taking the lessons onboard, probably a serious wake up to call to many, not that they would come on here and admit it.

Lots of people make bad or ill-informed decisions and lots of people are deficient in terms of "common sense" . . . . surely that doesn't mean they deserve derision and insults from - let's be honest here - a TV demographic more prone to bad or ill-informed decisions than most?

Just look at all the planks and grunts rocking up here with, in many cases, a nice wedge of cash and/or a generous pension, a good 10 - 20 years left of half-decent health and the libido of a 20 year old stud. What on earth could go wrong, eh?

12 months, a house, the furniture in it, a car, two scooters and a boob job later, the bargirl bins said "loser" off but look at the sympathy his plight elicits from the aforementioned TV hypocrites.

"Ah don't worry, mate. Head home, earn some more dosh, come back and have another crack at it"

or

"Yeah mate, they're all slags and gold diggers. Could've happened to anyone"

Anyone castigating the hapless oaf for being a complete tosser who should've known better is shouted down and called all the names under the sun by others who've - wait for it - made similarly bad or ill-informed decisions themselves.

What's that all about?

In summary, in TVF land, it seems that it's ok to screw up over a sexy young bird who milks yer nuts better than anyone, ever in your life but if you lose your job . . . . you deserve nothing but contempt and insults, right?

Sorry but this is pathetic.

Should have been here during the Asian crisis.

Farangs lost jobs, lost houses, were separated from families ( like me), they went back home or abroad and started over. Best thing that ever happened to me.

Thais were shocked at being made redundant, the guy who use to do my finances at the local bank ended up selling dim dum on his bike house to house - his English was impeccable , he was on his 40s.

The whole country was a shambles and the Thais had no experience of this.

Farangs invest to much in coming here and when it goes wrong can't cope..shit hit the fans wherever you are..

At least he has the choice to go home, take the family and give them a better life.." Silver lining comes to mind"..

The beauty of making a wrong desicion, is being able to make another desicion to correct the initial wrong one.

Smart people learn from the experience and tend not to repeat.

As feckless as these old goats may be, they still have the pension coming in each month, more than our hapless hero has.

Many are only repeating the same mistakes they made in farangland, wrong choice of partner, amazing being outsmarted by some girl with no more than a P6 education.

"Yeah mate, they're all slags and gold diggers. Could've happened to anyone"

Agree 101% could've happened to anyone, well what TF do you expect if you going looking for your soul mate or life partner in soi 6 Pattaya or amongst the dregs of Thai society in the farang ghetto of lower Suk.

Yes it amuses me, perhaps they could form their own loser group support chapter on here.

What's that all about?

No idea, a bunch of losers seeeking solace from other losers.

Perhaps they can arrange a meet up and console themselves give each other a big group hug, then get smashed on Chang.

if you lose your job . . . . you deserve nothing but contempt and insults, right?

Many people lose their job through not fault of their own.

As mentioned before it goes back to qualifications.

The smart ones will get a decent qualification that opens the door to employment that will give skills knowledge and experience coupled with the option of choosing where when and for how much you work.

I dare say our resident TEFLr brigade dont have that option, up to them, what are they doing to make themselves employable.

Whats Judd bringing to the table, please tell me why I should employ him, what skills does he possess?

He has had 13 years here by his own admission, whats he being doing with his time?

This sense of schadenfrude on display here is nothing new, though is borne of sheer relief in most cases "Thank &&&** it wasn't me this time"

I've seen it many times over the years. When the pub would buzz on a Friday night about whoever had fallen by the wayside that particular week and had taken "the cab ride of Doom" up to Don Mueang with far less than they made the reverse trip with in their pockets or bank account, the buzz would be very similar to what has been written here; words of "wisdom" as to what so-and-so should have done would fly around along with 'daft prat' comments usually from the same sources. I guess some things never change....

On ur last paragraph. If he has any selfreflection and true desire to rebuilt his life, i guess he would give

you unlimited loyalty and gratitude for the rest of his life when u would employ him. Cant start much better.

Get enough of that from my bangkaew, I would wager the dog was easier to train than Judd would be.

Look at the weight ratio between him in some of the other vids and his wife. He appears to be around 400 lbs and the wife is likely under 100 lbs.

It's likely that the brother did indeed ball the wife if they were spooning with him around. They would not take the chance of her crying out if they had not already consummated.

Do you think he is really as heavy as 400 pounds? I didn't see any video to indicate that he was that extremely morbidly obese. If true, even more sadness to his story.

I can see your point but why try and spin it into another ageist slam. I think the Pattaya flying club is running 1 or 2 old guys to 11 younger men. It takes a lot of maturity to live in Thailand that in a lot of cases, takes 60 years plus to get. For every 2 younger men 11 younger go off the deep end. http://mongerssyndicate.com/2013/01/16/honoring-the-fallen-the-pattaya-flying-club/

The subject was a fat guy who found a love here that eluded him at home. Of course he tried to make it. Thailand is rough on men. Rougher on younger ones than older ones.

It is rare that a man happy with life and/or women in his life, comes to Thailand long term. How many men bring a wife here? 1 out of 10?

Florida really has nicer beaches, France better food and England I'm sure has good stuff too.

This place is for the human male dinosaurs that are becoming extinct in the West.

Well it's got to be between 300 - 400 somewhere...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T95nTfqobVs

Yeah, I think you're right. As such the man is in the class of the super morbidly obese. I know enough about this subject to understand the chances of major long term weight loss with simple diet and exercise for people with this malady is almost never. The man needs bariatric surgery which of course he can't possibly afford to pay for here. Without the family complication, a person like this would really be served by repatriation. Maybe he could get the surgery now in the U.S. on Medicaid.

I suffered the first nine gut-wrenching minutes of the video, and then turned it off.

Is there any mention of what sort of Thai visa Mr Judd has?

If he has/had a 'work' visa, that would have been cancelled ages ago along with any work permit.

If he has/had a 'marriage' or 'retirement' visa, he must have/had XXX thousand baht in a Thai bank. But he claims he is stony broke.

My guess he is just another long-term overstayer in Thailand.

Mr Judd's tales of woe indicate a chronic inability to handle the curve balls that life constantly throws at him. It might be time for the Immigration authorities to step in and save the unfortunate man from himself.

The man needs bariatric surgery

And here I was thinking he needed to stop eating for three and walk around the block a couple times per day. Silly me.

It's a positive step but I'm confident most doctors would suggest bariatric that is if he's healthy enough otherwise for it to be worth the risk.

I'm no doctor but he also seems to be suffering from some form of mental illness. It could be a case of Manic depressive, bi-polarism with a mild case of paranoid schizophrenia. Not sure but he needs to be diagnosed and start taking the proper mediacation. Don't know how he could without money. He says his mother is helping him, maybe he can ask her.

If you're depressed because your life is sheit that's not the same thing as a mental illness. It reflects your reality. Yes the man deserves compassion. He's got some really really big troubles and all some want to do is kick him down some more.

Not kicking him down. Depression is a form of mental illness. Look it up. He is definetly bi-polar. And depressed. In his videos. He always has highs and lows. And now he doesn't want to live. He needs counseling.

You can't diagnose a mental illness from a video. Sure he needs multiple kinds of help and a JOB and I don't see how that will happen.

I was talking in general about the nasty tone of a number of posts here.

I'm glad I posted this on here. A lot of people are offering to help him on his YouTube channel. But there are some very nasty comments as well.

I'm sure he's going to get the support he needs to get him back on his feet.
