KANCHANABURI: -- More than 50 bands will be featured at January's Stone Free Music Festival in Kanchanaburi, according to the schedule released Saturday.

Local indie favorites such as Degaruda, Basement Tape, Stylish Nonsense, Aire and Yellow Fang will perform on three stages at the three-day festival.

Tickets are currently on sale at an early bird rate of THB1,000 through Dec. 31, after which they will be THB1,500. Tickets can be purchased by wiring money to SCB Bank [read more...]

Should be a mixture of sonic influences, and some fun music.

Stone free?? I doubt it.

Should be a good show! I think the name comes from a rock quarry that the event was held in last year and the year before. Check it out if you like live music but are sick of hearing the same tunes covered all the time.

My experience with the Indie label in Thai music has been that the label is mostly a misnomer. Sure they might not be controlled entirely by the big labels, but their music is just as much as copied as the others.
