KanomPang Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 Okay, so quick question just so either myself or passport control don't make a mistake. 1. I have 1 year visa (expires Nov. 2014). 2. I have a single re-entry permit (on a different page). When I go back to UK for Christmas in December and return to CM in January what do passport control stamp? Just so I know to keep an eye out as I don't want them stamping the wrong thing and then my visa is null and void. Thanks in advance.
onthedarkside Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 I assume you have a one year EXTENSION. Given that you already have a re-entry permit then your entry stamp should be valid until November 2014, same date as your extension expiry date. And they will cancel the re-entry stamp when you arrive back in Thailand.
Mario2008 Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 Per above. When returning to Thailand, fill in your re-entry permit number on the arrival card hwere they ask for your visa. Before leaving immigration, check if they stamped you in right. Much easier to correct mistakes on the spot.
meechai Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 Can I also ask when getting a re-entry permit is there any date limit on how early before your departure you may go to immigration to get one? I am on a yearly extension based on marriage so will need to get one before we take a trip in March I know you can supposedly get one at the airport but my flight leaves at midnight & I do not want to chance it Thanks
onthedarkside Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 You can apply for a re-entry permit (or multiple) on the day your new annual extension is granted, and it is valid until your extension expiry date (or until you use up the re-entry permits)
KanomPang Posted December 18, 2013 Author Posted December 18, 2013 Thanks for the replies understood. Much appreciated.

Yes, good until the expiry date of your extension 1
