Leather sofa

What's the best way to protect leather furniture in this climate I notice mine has a cracked look already after just a few months, and any tips on cleaning leather?

I've just read that Lux soap flakes really clean well without damaging the leather but bet you can't buy it here! Thanks about the beeswax will try that!

Take a look at some of the finer leather products an automotive detailer may use. I use Truco Shine with UV Guard. Granted, you don't need the UV guard but it's an excellent product and designed to preserve leather.

Some Leather Sprays are available at Home Pro in Chiang Mai.

Just a few days ago I did my friend's lazy-boy leather recliner and my large, black leather sofa. I used "Forch" leather conditioner I bought at a small auto accessory stall in Big C. They had a ton of bottles to do whatever to your car.

It says USA and has mink oil. Dunno, BUT it worked a treat. It didn't leave a shiny glaze, just softened the leather and brought the color back. Not slippery. Great. No bad odor. It worked exactly as I hoped it would! This is "conditioner", not cleaner. Lovely. It was 550 baht for a bottle. I could take it or leave it, I took it.

Try using baby wipes for it might work. I use baby wipes to clean my leather sofa for better results on a daily basis. You could even use the cleaning products that you get from IKEA!

Another thing is that the place from where you are planning to buy the furniture from should be decided wisely. I have heard of many cases where in people go for leather furniture for the brand and end up getting duplicated material. They tend to wear off after many cleaning sessions. I bought my leather sofa from Coja in Toronto and found it pretty good. Even though I get it cleaned twice in a week, it still looks perfect and fresh. No signs of wearing off!
