January 10, 201412 yr Hi, I was wondering what time the Thai-Cambodian border at Aran/Poipet closes? It used to be 8pm, but I read recently that the closing time will be extended to 10pm. Is this already the case? I hope yes, because I have a friend I want to pick up at the border around 9 or 9.30pm in around 2 weeks time and there's no way I can make it to the border before this time given I only finish work at 6pm. Of course if the closing time is still 8pm, then he can just cross into Thailand before 8 and wait for me there - however, since he is travelling from Saigon via Phnom Penh, not sure what time he will arrive exactly hence the extra 2 hours would be a big advantage for both of us.
January 10, 201412 yr There has been an official announcement that this was to take place at all 5 Thai Cambodia Border Crossings but as of this past Monday the hours are still 7 am open 8 pm close,
