I remember one poster not too long ago posting something like "I live a very rich life out here in the sticks, I go out and water my greens, shovel some shit go in and check on TV and then the same again".

I guess it just shows that some of us have completely different demands in life. TV is not one of mine. Neither is shovelling shit.

Then a few more "I'd much rather have a nice tiffin" then "tiffins in Cornwall are better than tiffins in Bombay" then " people in Bombay are cheap and smelly" then " Death to all Indians".

I'd probably bone the missus more often.

Huge thunderstorm here the other day; no Thai Visa because the power and internet was off, couldn't play golf and couldn't go for a bike ride so I sat down and had a nice long chat with the missus; she seems like a really nice person.

Probably in small doses. I bet you were glad when the power came on again. biggrin.png

I learn a lot about LoS and other expats from TVForum, but sometime also waste a lot of time, which of course is only myself to blame for – however the news section is good to keep track of what's going on in Thailand – so happily sums up with a lot more in plus than minus.

      The 5-Year 900,000 Baht fee is horrendous, in my opinion. I've had a Marriage Visa for 37 of my 40 years here. 1,900 Baht per year now. 2,500,000 Baht for 10 years! Wow! But if the foreigner is very rich, then why not? There must be more desirable and cheaper countries to move to though.

      I wouldn't try a taser against a nut with a sword. Perhaps you aren't aware that police tasers have at least a 30% failure to subdue. Druggies are the ones least affected by tasers. I suspect this "monk" is definitely on something strong -or having a psychotic episode. Bean bag rounds would probably work better, but still no guarantees.
