Good, now let's see the rest of these self-serving, bank balance filling scumbags nabbed

if one is so rightous, one should also consider how the wanted/convicted in Dubai is managing the so called democratic government? Isn't dictatorship brought to mind?

Police are really making inroads now arn't they, much to the disgust of the PDRC fan base

They just picking them up when they stray from the flock!!! Best tactic and it has avoided clashing by going in with a hit team.

This is who they'll get them all. and they'll all be much more wary now smile.png

Be interesting to see if the Courts just let them go, as you do for insurection, trhying to overthrow democracy and blocking streets in a Capital City.

Good they whisked him out the capital as well. The mob won't be marching around there in a red shirt area. Not now they down to their last 100 or 200!!

Pathum Thani isn't a red shirt area. There are many supporters of both sides here. In the main, they behave well. Incidents happen but its not the swarming red hotbed you seem to imagine, far from it.

Great news. I bet the others are less cocky now. I have a bottle of champagne waiting for the day I see Suthep in leg shackles.

You must lead a sad life if you would open a bottle of Champagne over something that is nothing to do with you

If Rich Teacher lives in Thailand, it does have something to do with him. This is his country of choice, and its future is something he should be allowed to comment on in this forum.

There are quite a few people on this board (myself included biggrin.png ) who are not sure whether Rich Teacher even lives on this planet, never mind Thailand.

maybe Rich Teacher loves Thailand and wants the Thais to be rid of this menacing fascist Suthep? ever thought of that? i think the VAST majority of Thais will be celebrating with Suthep gone whilst the TVF forum, largely, will be crying for the loss of their elite defender 'Dear Leader' giggle.gif

Pathetic post of the day. What ever anyone may think about Suthep and his motives he has the balls to walk around with the very likely chance of being shot while that corrupt coward Thaksin sits in his castle in Dubai pulling the strings of his puppet sister.

Surely not all the Puea Thai politicians are that bad, surely?

any relation to the gathering momentum of the farmers' protests ?

I pity the poor farmers. Payment delayed because of the activities of PRDC and now the money being collected for them is not actually for them after all. It is tpo pay PRDC lawyers to sue the government on their behalf. Best not let the farmers know where this guy is being held. They might just pay him a visit to get the money he and his co-leaders said they would give to them.

I pity the poor farmers if they believe any of this rubbish.

Payments delayed because the caretaker government hadn't made sufficient provisions within the Nation Budget and therefore couldn't really borrow much extra in caretaker mode. now of course you can blame the anti-government protesters, but that would ignore the fact that those protests started when the government came up with the 'blanket amnesty bill' apart from the fact that some farmers haven't been paid for many more months than just since the 9th of December when Ms. Yingluck dissolved the House.

It's very nice that k. Suthep c.s. walk around to collect money for the farmers, but to assume that after a few days they've collected the 130 billion the government was trying to borrow is somewhat hilarious. As for 'said would give them', same reply 'collect and give', a wee bit short of the 130 billion the government wanted to borrow I think.

Other "stars" of the rally are also facing arrest, Chalerm said. "I want to tell Mr Suthep that I will no longer tolerate what he has done, laying siege to many government offices and chasing away officials who wanted to work. That's beyond acceptable and I will use the law to handle the situation," he said.

Just 72 more hours Chalerm? How long did you extend your last deadline, and the one before that and the one.......never mind. I hope you and Tarid end up sharing an apartment in Dubai.

Democracy? What a bloody joke man! You certainly have no clue what democracy is. You should make yourself a favour and make some research first. Then make conclusions what is democracy.

Here's a clue though, first definition: "a form of government in which people choose leaders by voting"

Pretty shocking, I know.

I can understand how a lot of people on TV do not like Suthep or the PDRC for their hard core tactics of blocking streets, invading government offices and the seemingly undemocratic vote block etc. but am I assuming correctly many of these Suthep critics also support PTP and Thaksin? Or do you support the red shirts?

The protest movements we are seeing are a result of people being fed up with corruption and tyranny from the current government.

It started with the student protests and Guy Fawkes masks and gained momentum with Suthep joining the fray.

But it is not about Suthep or any single person. It is about how a group of politicians who were elected in by the majority of the population in the North and Northeast and financially supported by Thaksin abused their powers as can be seen by the passing of the Amnesty Bill in Parliament and the rice-pledging scheme to name a few instances.

The government run by Yingluck and the PTP clearly showed their incompetence, poor governance and lack of ethics.

This government is supported by the red shirts. How does reflect on the red shirts if they insist on supporting PTP and Thaksin?

Is there not a clear line between right and wrong here?

I'd really like to hear a good argument from all of the supposed detractors of Suthep on how Thai's can get rid of a very corrupt government elected into office? In any other developed country I think they would have all resigned in shame but not Thailand.

Can the red shirts and majority in the North and Northeast not fathom the level of corruption? Right now the farmers are feeling it.

If we insist on using our voting rights who do we vote into office? PTP? Democrats? Who?

By the way, where is yingluck, unseen for days.

Rule of law must prevail. Without the rule of law we cannot bring reconciliation and unity to Thailand. Solving the crimes created by the struggle and fight for power and control by the 'old elite power' and the emerging power base of those who felt denigrated, belittled, second classed, oppressed, and facing unequal justice and injustices.

you comments made us all laugh

They are few types of laugh. Yours include laughing at yourself and because you have nothing to offer to moving Thailand forward except promoting criminal activities.

Send from my Mobile

Where did he promote criminal activities?

You mention the rule of law which is not only widely ignored in Thailand - from the government down - but only enforced selectively or if there's money in it.

The 3 stooges of CMPO have had no respect for the law. viz:

One is an accessory to murder and perverter of the course of justice regarding his offspring.

One is an accessory to perverting justice for a run-away criminal (passport delivery boy).

One is playing both sides of the law in targeting those he assisted to bring order to riots.

There is no hope of reconciliation if the law is applied selectively and some politicians regard themselves as above the law. (see the 2001 assets scrutiny case)

'Old elite power' attitude, refusing to accept the reality of the emerging power base of the people is encouraging the selective application of law. 2001 assets case - don't blame Thaksin. You can impeach the judge if you want. Not one PAD leaders step into a jail for the crimes they committed and their cases have been postponing endlessly every time they came to the court, while the RS/UDD are still in jails without trial. Thaksin was convicted because he obeyed a law that required of him to give permission for his ex-wife to purchase land. Samart was convicted for a cooking show and the reason was that he received remuneration - wow Samart need another income. LOL. PPP was dissovled without calling the accused witness and not given a chance to defense. Coup makers, supporters and financiers are still free and they pardoned themselves.

Cannot blame you because you do not know the reasons for the fight and struggle for power and control of the two power base during this 'peculiar transition' of Thailand.

It is OK if the 'old elite power' do not want reconciliation which is more to whitewash them than the emerging power of the people. IMO, the pain suffer from 'the split' will be temporal for the emerging power of the people.

Another good news Monday in Bangkok! Book 'em Danno.

The first step is the hardest and the list of arrest warrantees is getting thicker. Target rich environment Mr. Chalerm.

Well where is chalerm today.

We just had days of his bluster about leading the arrest of the protest leaders.

Much earlier today one was arrested but no comment from chalerm.

He must be incapacitated.

A six car convoy no less.

They must be feeling so proud of themselves grabbing such a dangerous criminal walking alone in a shopping mall.

So the reason they need the SOE becomes apparent, they can detain someone pretty near indefinitely.

Including of course sensoring the media.

30 days without charge I believe, but they have to apply for a new request for detention for 7 days. If you followed the 2010 protest, you'd know this. Back then, I recall Chulalongkorn history professor Sutichai Yimprasert was detained at a military camp, despite the fact he had no involvement with the red shirt protests. They released him after a week without ever proving they had a reason to justifiably detain him in the first place. IIRC, Sombat Boonngamanong (Phi Nuling) was held for over a month though, despite the fact that he was only a minor leader on the alternate stage at Klong Tooey. Whilst red shirts were furious and had started torching buildings on May 19th 2010, Sombat and Khru Prateep were on stage calling for peace and urging people to calm down. Point about the SOE is that it allows detentions that aren't justifiable.

They have probably done him a big favour. Judging by how Jatuporn, Nattawut, Kwanchai and others profited from their criminal actions and terrorism the arrested guy might become some sort of deputy minister in the future. Amazing Thailand. Probably the only country in the world where alcoholics, criminals, fraudsters, terrorists are allowed to occupy public offices.

Oh pity, you didn't read the definitions did you? Eh? Like to make things up to suit your story?Okay, last chance and then school is finished for you:

Democracy: a government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly or indirectly through a system of representation ... involving periodically held free elections"

you dont have to like or dislike anybody its all down to a democratic process which they want to overturn by thuggery .the voters can decide who is fit to run the country
