Camera accessories in Bangkok? Seems selection is limited.

I've been looking into purchasing some camera accessories lately. Usually I'll do my price/stats/review research with Amazon.com and place them in a temporary shopping car for organization. So after I compiled my recent shopping list for camera accessories, I discovered that options are extremely limited at MBK and Fortune as most camera shops sell canon/nikon only with few stores celling Sony. Also, non OEM accessories are extremely limited as well and if you're able to find what you want it seems that it is more expensive than in the West. Does anyone know where one can find items and prices similar to these:

central world has a couple of camera shops and power buy has a small photography dept - all probably a better better shops than MBK and fortune.

photographic equipment here always seems much more expensive than in the uk...

OP/Tech stuff is pretty common here. Fotofile on the 5th floor at MBK (the one that is the Cannon shop) sells their stuff (oddly enough, this shop had boxes the new Sony SEL2470Z lens sitting behind their counter). Not sure if they have the exact OP/Tech piece you are looking for. Seed Camera (http://www.seedcamera.com/) seems to have a reasonable selection of accessories; I bought an OP/Tech Sling strap from them at their branch at Gateway Ekamai -- haven't been to their main shop, so I'm not sure how well there web inventory matches their in-store inventory (seems to be common here in Thailand; stores list things on their website or display in their store and either don't stock or have to special order them).

For Sony gear in particular, there are Sony stores in MBK on the 3rd floor, near the BTS exit, and one in Terminal 21. There is also the Alpha Pro Shop on the 5th floor at MBK. It is owned by the same people who run the Sony store on the 3rd floor, but is more camera/video focused, so you may have better results talking to them. A more "local" Sony shop is Viewfinder Camera (http://www.viewfindercamera.com/). Their shop is located in Mega Plaza (http://www.megaplazawangburapa.com/), and there was someone who spoke reasonably good English at the shop both times I went there. They have quite a collection of used Sony/Minolta lenses if you shoot A-mount. They also have some accessories, but limited selection like most places. There are also several other small camera shops in the same plaza with a lot of old used lenses (M42 mount, etc).

In general prices are higher in Thailand, as others have stated, and selection is limited. I try to plan my gear purchases around trips to the US (buy stuff on-line and pick it up at relative's houses) and trips to Hong Kong I make occasionally for work.
