Schengen Visa from French Consulate

Has anyone applied for a Schengen visa from the French consulate in Chiang Mai? If so how did they find the process, did they eventually have to go to BKK etc? The visa is for my wife, a Thai national, we will want to visit for a couple of weeks whilst we are in UK/Ireland during the summer.

Any helpful information would be gratefully received.

You will have to go to Bangkok. The process is done through a 3rd party TLScontact.

You apply online for an appointment, then in Bangkok you need to make sure you have all your paperwork in order. Your passport can be sent to the CM consulate once your visa has been issued.

My wife & I did a similar trip 4 years ago - schengen visa - cheap and easy as she's married to an EU citizen, Irish visa - cheap and easy as she's married to an EU citizen, uk visa expensive and lots of paperwork even though she's married to a uk citizen - good old GB good luck with your endeavours
