Bikes parking at Maya in wet season..Be cautious..IMO

Just a heads up..i called in there yesterday for a look around, parked in the undercover bike park and was more than surprised at just how smooth and shiny the concrete floor is in there.

I would be exercising extreme caution come rainy season..would predict that it will become dangerously slippery once a little amount of water gets to it...

Anyone else notice?

I went a few days after opening and almost slid all the way down the ramp.

Brakes locked and I was away.

Yes highly polished, excellent job but not on the ramp you plonkers, they obviously forgot to press grip lines in before the concrete set.

I suspect they also forgot to seal it, so the dust will be through in no time and it should be ok in a few weeks.

No, but I won't be going back during any season. I've decide that I prefer the Imax at central Festival, or I'll just go to Promenada. Luckily, I don't live in town, so no need to worry.

If I had a bike weighing 30kg I would be more concerned that it would blow away.

I can lift 30kg above my head, not sure I could lift my bike?

My bike already slipped and turned over unexpectedly 2 weeks ago because of the slippery surface. luckily I was not hurt and minimal damage on the bike. But be careful in that parking lot!

Maybe its just me, but i think that almost everywhere lke tesco, or bigC or maya or... All share this indoor parking slippery problem.

Not sure why someone would make a slippery "polished" asfalt instead of making some decent grip for the wheels top grip.

Long live thai logic!!
