Anaemia

Featured Replies

Sheryl, many thanks for the helpful advice you've given in the past when I have asked.

I now have a fresh question that I am hoping you can answer, does a red blood cell count of 3.92 (normal male minimum 4.50) indicate posssible anaemia, Might possibly explain why I feel so tired so often.

Thanks as ever for any response.

It could indicate all sorts of things, why don't you go and get checked out by a professional?

3,9 is marginally low but you also need to look at the Hb level (Hemoglobine) level and best look at the whole CBC test such as red cell size MCV, MCHC etc to diagnose anemia and also get an idea as to what may be the underlying cause.

If included in the test, a Reticulocyte count is also useful.
