Can't believe you guys, you see 80+ guys going with <20 girls every day walking down the street in Pattaya and Patong, you think they're all "nieces" do you?

So when it's an explicit sex worker it's OK for you, but a guy actually makes an honest woman of her and puts a ring on it now that's a problem?

Grow up, we're not talking about predators of innocent children here, save your righteousness for real evil.

I'd call old men who target schoolgirls predators. I'd call old men who rent teenage prostitutes sickos. Just because they do it in Pattaya doesn't make it alright. Taking advantage of poor vulnerable girls is not something I wish to do when old. Do these men think of the psychological harm they are doing these girls?

Taking advantage of gullible elderly men isn't all that nice either.

Sometimes it's hard to tell predator from prey.

I paid for 1/3 of a good friends new Motorbike. His burnt up and he was low on cash so I paid the balance and he is now happily on the road again.

Scott, you are such a nice man, you give your GF 60k a month and now you help your friend paid for the new motorbike. Do you have a twin brother? I need to meet him, 555.

cough ... I thought you were saving yourself for me ... w00t.gif

555...I was until I realized that I will never be able to compete with the twin and miss farm girl, I then had to move on.

Well I am raising the now 3 year young girl abandoned by the biological father AND mother, this since January 2012.

That's the only good thing I will EVER do for this country whistling.gif

I am doing much the same, for a girl since she was 2 years old, she is now nearly 8.5 years and has been adopted. I had a miserable first few years due to her family, the adoption process, being a Mother wasn't instantly easy, and she had some health problems ...many times I thought I could not do it, or that it would not work out.

Now, she is the highlight of my life. Just looking at her beautiful face (which to me is the most beautiful in the world) is pure joy and happiness. I often cannot believe how well things have worked out (so far) compared to how badly things started in many ways, and how many times I wanted to quit this whole thing!

Pretty much, everything I love in life these days (other than my dogs) has to do with her! I could write a list of pages of all the things I love about her, all her great qualities, all the ways she makes me happy, and I could make an even BIGGER list of all the things I hope to give her in life, teach her, the opportunities I hope to be able to give her, the financial legacy I hope to leave her, the good life I hope to help her build for herself, and in general the unconditional love and care and support I hope I can provide for all her life ...and I hope I don't die too young to be able to do those things. And even if she doesn't do anything truly special in life, or has some kind of problems, I hope she will always know that she was so deeply loved by at least one person, her "adopted Mom."

And mostly, I just hope she can be a happy, healthy person, who has choices in life, and has made the most of those, and that she feels/will be secure (from my money) forever.

Other than that, I help a lot of dogs and cats mostly ...in many different ways.

Fanatastic.

Some fool missed out on you.

amycat,

I deeply sympathize with you.

Two years we (my gf and myself) are raising her (the girls is a daughter of her younger brother, we sent him working to Taiwan to have him taking control of his miserable life after his 16 years young! wife left him, he was 30 when his daughter saw the light)

It has not been easy, mainly because of my gf who still is mad at her brother (for all his stupidity) and seems to have problems with the little girl's character (I do feel she is transferring her angryness onto the little girl when she shows to much of the family genes (from which she suffers equally, unknowingly)) These family genes are bad indeed, believe me (parents, brothers, sisters; all have them)

I often insist she should start an adoption process, but as many things Thai not moving forward is the easy way.

But yes, the good part of my live is the energy I put in daily towards the little one and the love I get in return, which can not be said towards my gf, she is way too harsh (sometimes) with the little one. She is unable to wash away the "sometimes"

The little one often says to me "I love you alone" which upsets my gf....

Her English is coming along very well and she is exposed to French and Dutch also.

She loves to sing Frère Jacques. I am teaching her "Broeder Jakob" now....

I guess there is a German version also?

I do like all the unthai things she shows in her behavior, she must be different to have better chances in life, she IS a smart girl and she surely is the most beautiful little Thai girl around, 55555

The grandfather died november 2nd and the biological father came over for one week, talked to her 2x for 10 minutes and gave her a plasticized photo of himself, which she looks at sometimes. Two weeks ago she told me ''I like that one" and a few days ago she told me " I think I have two fathers, you and this one" Smart girl....

Why does it make people more comfortable to cast one as the predator the other as the victim.

Two consenting adults of whatever age voluntarily exchanging services for money, each getting what they want.

Nothing wrong with that no matter what the age difference may be, distasteful as it might be for you to think about it.

And really nothing to do with Thailand, you'll note that the green and blue countries below, where sex work has been legalized, are some of the more civilized places in the world. Maybe time to work on freeing your mind of old religion-based prejudices.

Agree...nice post by her...I recognise many of the points myself.

But are not the girls there to relieve any guy of any age of cash. ? They don't have to be there, it is their decision is it not. ?

As every year this year also we donated some books, cloths and toys for a children orphanage. Looking for few more places to donate this time too

Plenty of people in their 20's and even 30's are adults in their thinking.

Not up to society to protect them from their foolishness.

IMO and wrt my own kids (raised five so far, total over 37 years) I have found the earlier you force them to wear the consequences of their choices the early they develop a mature judgement facility.

Let them climb trees, build campfires, use sharp knives well before they learn to read and write.

Just like your decisions about buying and selling any product, there is a minimum framework of law in place to protect people, after that it needs to be left to the individual their family, conscience and judgement of those involved.

Certainly not the business of strangers looking in from the outside.

Coercion and deception are certainly moral issues, the law from a practical POV is certainly well-enforced here wrt to foreigners, but morality pronouncements about age differences aren't appropriate.

Any funding would be US IRS tax-deductible and could be made through an existing PayPal account (No PayPal monthly fee for bona fide US non profits).

However I previously provided a link to my website on the ThaiVisa Profile page and learned quickly thereafter not to do that again. Please PM if you so choose.
