webfact
POLITICSRally guards physically harassed me : SunisaTHE NATIONPheu Thai members to file complaint; two Navy Seals nabbed heading to protestsBANGKOK: -- DEPUTY GOVERNMENT Spokesperson Sunisa Lertpakawat will today file a police complaint against People's Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) guards, alleging them of invasion of privacy in an incident on Tuesday.Sunisa, a Pheu Thai Party politician, was spotted near the Pathumwan rally site at 7.30pm on Tuesday and was evicted by the guards soon after. She said yesterday that as she was walking out of a beauty clinic on Siam Square and towards Siam Paragon department store, a group of 10 to 20 men chased her from behind, grabbed her hair, locked her arms and dragged her to the guards' office. She said she later learned that these men were PDRC guards. At the press conference, she said the men verbally threatened her using sexually abusive language. She added that the attackers wanted to hide her identity by putting a hood on her head, but they changed their minds when a group of reporters and photographers flocked to the scene. She also claimed that one of the guards confiscated her iPhone and demanded that she give him the pass code to unlock it.Sunisa said the guards then took her to the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre nearby, before escorting her to Siam Paragon, where she had parked her car, and leaving her there. She said that while she was being detained, a man who looked as if he was the boss had a discussion about her with someone over the telephone."He seemed to be asking the mysterious man on the other end of the line what could and could not be done," she said, adding that this incident made her feel sad about the protest."They always tell the public that their rally is peaceful. But from what they did to me it was not. Their leaders were aware of what happened but did not take any action. I want to ask their leaders, why are you so mean?" she said.At around noon yesterday, police arrested two Navy Seals (Sea, Air and Land Team members) in a pickup truck at a checkpoint in Thon Buri. Upon searching the vehicle, police found two 9mm pistols, ammunition and M16 rounds as well as two PDRC guard cards.Deputy Metropolitan Police commissioner Maj-General Thitiraj Nonghanpitak said the two conceded that they had been hired to protect PDRC leaders, but refused to elaborate.Separately, 1st Infantry Division commander Maj-General Varah Boonyasit said the military would set up 176 checkpoints near rally sites in Bangkok and would also beef up the security at independent agencies.-- The Nation 2014-02-

Popular Post kikoman
She has the constitutional right to be any where in her country, that is opened to all citizens. Careful because this can become the wave of the future and should be a warning to all peace loving people. Since when has forcefully detaining a young , good looking women and harassing her sexually been OK ?No matter who side one is on! Interesting to say the least Two navy seal arrested and admitted being employed by the PDRC, It makes one question the neutrality of the military's involvement in the current problems! Popular Post Siripon
Sunisa has a history of embellishing the truth.Does anyone remember the backgound to her work of fiction:'Thaksin where are you?' She claimed to have gone to England by herself and amazingly whilst on a bus on a forlorn search for his residence, she coincidentally passed what she thought might be his home. Miraculously she had found her hero! Like her boss she is also adept at turning on the tears for the cameras, how she weeped when she was reprimanded by the army for taking excess leave! Popular Post Businessman
Anyone know what the law allows regarding search and physical detention by security guards? In my country I can effect a citizen arrest only if the person is IN THE ACT of breaking a criminal law. Even if I do so, I must then turn the prisoner over to a officer of the peace at the earliest possible opportunity. Failing that I am legally liable.

There's a picture with a bruise on her arm but there will need to be more than that to prove it to the naysayers. It's not like these guys are above these kind of actions though. A disgusting crime committed against an unarmed woman who was out shopping, by a mob who believed a popular public shopping area to be their own private territory. Not the sort of world any sane person wants to live in. A shameful crime.

I agree it was wrong and it's refreshing to read the action was condemned by the PDRC leadership. That's something not done by the UDD leadership whenever their members do something wrong. However, on the other hand, warnings have been given by third parties not to have children near protest sites. . notmyself
Tethered goat springs to mind. Bait for land animals. One would tie a tasty goat in the middle of a clearing so the mountain lion (or whatever was being hunted would have to cross open territory, whereupon the hunter would shoot the mountain lion. http://www.jargondatabase.com/Category/sports-and-games/Hunting-and-Fishing-Jargon/Tethered-Goat Should this have been the other way around there is a good chance she would have had a burning tyre around her neck what with the red shirt's propensity for pyromania. Can you see the huge discrepancy here? He painted a picture of her probably dressed up in some night gown showing cleavage and back you know sexily while visiting a beauty clinic when women don't dress up when visiting these places cos they aren't glamor or party places and not only that he made it seem like visiting siam square or paragon where all manner of ppl of all ages and sexes visit from young to old is just like walking into a thai bar full of drunk men.
