Gun attack on home of PDRC leader's mum

Featured Replies

Not really, as in wonder, some crimes are easier solved than others because there's better leads to apprehending the bad guys.

For example, the grenade throwers were all said to be Cambodian by many of the protestors, very hard to chase a Cambodian down when they could return to their country within a matter of hours of fleeing in the scene.

Bit different for the Army boys who are alleged to have shot the Reds Leader, they're resident, and possibly "grassed" on by a sympathetic "Red" Soldier.. I dunno, did they confess to it or is it still speculation?

Maybe the Bangkok cops are just wank a their jobs and the ignorant and uneducated red buffalo cops in Issan and other red areas are better??? whistling.gif

Not all cops are the scum of the earth, there's some good ones somewhere, but unless you have an entire Police force waiting in the wings for when the Dems take over the running of the country, then you're just going to have to put up with what's currently there, the rot is at the top, all the way to the bottom.. they need reformed as well.. but until that day comes, no point in tit for tat stuff, as <deleted> all is going to change how they operate

United front against Dictatorship throwing grenades at children and attacking old ladies homes. I assume that Buddhism is not their religion (if they got any).

Blow a whistle & your mum gets shot at. That seems fair, doesn't it?

Looks like they are all friends behind the scenes and the whistle blowers are taking some flack.

Khunying Sasima Srivikorn called Khunying Pojaman to apologize for her daughter & son-in-law’s behavior. The two khunyings are good friends.

Thaya’s brother told Matichon TV he also called to apologize to Khunying Pojaman as well & did not approve of his sister’s behavior.
Terrible to target the mother, whoever did it. But so easy to target a house and ensure you miss the occupants if you are wanting sympathy. Who knows... don't suppose we ever will.
Was also very bad form to be blowing whistles at anybody. It is very ignorant, rude and dangerous to peoples hearing. If they want to be seen as the great mass of educated people saving the Nation, they have to do better than blowing whistles.
How about some policy outlines or cabinet/junta member names put forward.

Oh dear, pipkins is back... post op.

Don't you find it amazing just how many people on one side of politics are prepared to shoot at fire-bomb or grenade their own homes to gain sympathy?

Has there ever been an instance of this happening on the other side?

But wait a second, why does Khunying Sasima Srivikorn need sympathy, she doesn't seem to be very active politically? It must have been her daughter who arranged to have her mother's house attacked.

Her son is blaming a 'third hand'.

Thaya’s brother said shooting into the family’s house in Korat after his sister in gang whistling at Emporium was likely done by '3rd hand’.

It's perfectly plausible that Khunying Sasima is actually good friends with Potjaman. She might even be 'red leaning' or pretty neutral politically. Families are often divided, e.g. the head of Boonrawd supposedly has red sympathies whilst his niece and her mother are regulars at the PDRC stage. Also lot of these people are on friendly terms even if they're on opposing sides. I heard a story that Chalerm phoned up Thaya recently and he said to her that she'd gone a bit too far in criticizing him on the stage and she replied to him: "sorry, uncle, I just got carried away in front of the crowd". Even Jatuporn is still good friends with Suriyasai from PAD etc. I think a lot of the political and aristocratic elite get along - it's the supporters mobilized on both sides that take the enmity much further... I mean, not to be completely cynical here... (obviously a lot of the trad. elite really do hate/fear Thaksin, but as for the rest, I think they're all prepared to work together, as they generally have).

So I'm not sure Potjaman would've ordered the shooting, possible it could be 'independent reds' taking things further than their leaders might want. Or it could've been done by people who want to exacerbate divisions. Or it could be rogue police behind some of these attacks, as suggested by Shaun Crispin etc. I don't think anyone really knows for sure except those carrying out the attacks and those ordering it. In general, I tend to think it's people from the two sides attacking the opposite side (at least most of the time). But within the two sides there are disparate groups with multiple agendas. Prayuth also said something about the situation being more complicated than 2010, with 'many groups involved', and I think there's something to that.
