MTF Hormones replacement therapy

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I'm going to bangkok to study in may and I'll be living there around 1 year+ and I wish to be on hormones as I'm starting my transition.

But I couldn't find any gender or hormones clinic on the internet, can anyone recommend me some legit hormones clinic that i can go and consult.

I'll will be living in sukhumvit area so clinics in the area will be perfect. Also, any idea approximately how must does hormones medicine cost every month? Because I'm a student don't have a lot of money so I'll have to manage my finances.

Thank you very much.

I'm not aware of any hormone clinics of this type in Bangkok though I know there is at least one in Pattaya.

The many sex change clinics are focused on surgery and do not AFAIK directly provide hormone treatment, rather patients consult an endocrinologist working out of one of the many hospitals.

Unfortunately I cannot suggest any specific endocrinologiosts but I expect that the various SRS centers would have lists of ones they refer to. Suggest you contact the Preecha Inst and ask them whom they would suggest <[email protected]>

If they don't respond, could also try Yanhee Hospital: <[email protected]>

A number of shop front beauty clinics give hormone injections and there are many 'informal' vendors that provide this service to Thai transgender people. Chemists are often a good place to get advice about this too - that's where most Thai transgender people get their info on local clinical services. Informal means unregistered though so the price will be cheap but the quality unknown. Good to talk to Thai transgender people when you meet them here as they will be able to speak from experience.
