New Phuket resident looking for good hair stylist

Featured Replies

Greetings all!

My wife and I (we are Canadian) are spending six months in Phuket to "test the waters" and see if we can handle the transition from living in New York. Ideally we'd like to live here fulltime.

This forum has been a great resource but at this point I need to find a hair stylist who can handle my thick wavey hair (please note that I am not looking for a barber who will use the number 2 shears as my wife prefers to see my wavey hair; but maybe not when it is too long/thick). We are currently based in the Thalang area but I am willing to drive a bit if necessary (we seem to find ourselves quite regularly driving to Phuket Town).

Thanks!

There's a great stylist in the Fisherman Way complex on the way to Rawai. His name is Pat and he is the owner of LeSalon by Pat. He's very familiar with foreigner's hair, is affordable and does a great job.

Shave all the hair off, get a few tats, an EPL shirt and you'll fit right in,

In Boat Lagoon there is a hair salon next to the SCB bank, run by a Thai woman, she cuts the hair of many friends and their children, have not seen a bad haircut yet.

I had a different experience but not really me but my son.

They butchered him and I had to take him to tesco to repair the Somchai cut he was given.

Never again.

I'm sorry to hear that. Pat's been doing my hair for six years, and I've never had a problem.

Living in Thalang, on the way west towards Cherng Talay from the Heroines Monument near Wat Baan Mannik, Kate's Hair & Make-up Studio,19/41 Moo 7, Srisoontorn Road,Talang, Phuket 83110, 076‐620‐020. I go there myself and you wont leave feeling like you are bald or ill treated or want to hide away after your hair cut.
