I read a few comments just now in related threads from one or two of you, who thought England´s performance was reasonable, hopeful and even good..............I´m no football expert .....but..........were we watching the same match????? That was an awful performance..... Crouch (...ouch!!!), Beckham moderate, Rooney....didn´t do much at all.....The Trinis put the fear of God into you with repeated counter attacks..... and never mind the missed opportunities on the English side...what about those of the Trinis??? Your rules state at the end.........NOTE: All predictions are based on 90mins. Extra time, golden goals, penalties etc. do not count. What do you say to that one?????? I do feel a fool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Points deducted for jumping the gun.................... A result is exactly that , 90 minutes plus added time for injuries/stoppage. In the knockout stages if a game is 0 - 0 at full time , and you have predicted this, then you will get maximum points. The game will continue into extra time , whatever the result is after the extra time , or if it continues to penalties, the 0 - 0 score at full time is the only one that counts. Added time , ie 3 mins for stoppages, is part of the full-time period. The Trinidad goal , if allowed, was not in extra-time , it was added time, there is a difference. Right heres the table at the end of play today. By the way I wasn't overly impressed with England today , but hey, we're through with a game to spare, I'll take that....... Mother Scottish , Father English , Brother English, Sister Welsh. Lived most of my life in Singapore/RSA/England. The usual anti-English trait has been beaten out of me by my father who was a RSM. I am a traitor, I am worth less than 90 kg of salt. If Scotland were in Germany I would be supporting them. But they are not. Come on England!!!!
