just enjoyed a pizza from Succes pizza next to the Dukes.

Not disappointing for 200,-THB

Thin bottom and crispy crust but not to fat like the ones from the Dukes.

This pizza i could take out of the box without it sticking to the cardboard.

Is the fact that it wasn't disappointing or that it didn't stick to the box good?

It hasn't got me wanting to rush over there.

We had a meal at the new Italian restaurant in the Promenade last week. The wife's son in law and daughter both had a pizza they said it was good. It is a small one but just the right size for them. Myself would have liked a little bigger one.

Has any one else tried their pizza?

If your referring to Ragu from the famed Dukes organization I had an acceptable meal there last night. Caesar Salad had bright and correct flavors but missed the creaminess gotten from egg yolk in the dressing (wonder if pasteurized egg yolk can be procured here?). Also the lettuce was cut into rather thin ribbons so difficult to eat as it was non-traditonally served. Kids had pizza off child's menu which was ok and Mac and Cheese tasted great but it was Rigatoni and Cheese (why not just state that on the menu if that's what your serving or show kitchen staff what Macaroni is). My Boneless Beef Short Ribs pasta was fine, lots of meat but not much else incl. other flavors. The over 1000 kinds of pasta are made for a purpose each one being different for a reason, like some are ribbed so the sauce can adheres to it. Rigatoni doesn't cut it in Mac and Cheese as it just loses that total gooeyness that makes it so good. And even though I did order Fettucini with my Ragu the watery consistency of the sauce (how was I suppose to know?) didn't work with the flat, hence slippery, noodles. The house Red was a very nice Italian and would have been fine for 160 bht a glass if the pour wasn't so small it was finished in 4-5 sips. Overall for a 3 week old restaurant it was fine but for 1000 bht for 2 I think some of the rough edges could and should be improved upon.

I thought that someone said that Ragu does not serve pizza. Is there another new Italian restaurant in the Promenade or did David Duke change his mind?

Both my kids ordered off the kids menu (Mac & Cheese and Pizza). I'm don't think they offered pizza on the regular menu (but that was over 12 hrs ago which is my usual cut-off recalling concise facts) but having a child's menu with entrees costing around 1/2 of the other options is great for us with families.

Are you speaking of Ragu?

I did not order it myself but the son in law and daughter did. It was served on flat bread. Did not pay attention to the name on the Menu. The two grand daughters shared a pasta dish and we all shared a Garlic bread order. It was delicious and plentiful. I had some sort of garlic concoction in a bun stuffed with Cheese and ham. Don't know the name but I will defiantly have it again. The wife liked the Garlic bread which was a surprise to me as it is not Thai. She can be a pain food wise when traveling.

Yes 4 posts above I wrote about it quoting your post and this was my response to UG's inquiry 3 posts above. It didn't resemble flat bread to me, what was the name of the restaurant your referring to?

I believe it is. It is the Italian restaurant that Dave opened at the Promenada. Yes it is Ragu.
