BANGKOK, 27 Mar 2014, (NNT) - Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra has yet to decide whether she will run for a second term.

The Premier made the comment via her Facebook page amid talks of EC preparing the new round of the national polls, neither denying nor confirming speculation that she might step aside during the race to reduce political frictions.

She refused to answer questions posted by the media regarding her political future, dodging the press’s question about competing in an election for another term in the office, while stating that she would remain as the interim Prime Minister at least until the National Anti Corruption Commission reached its verdict on the rice mortgage scheme fraud case.

Nonetheless, she urged all to vote in the upcoming Senatorial election and the new round of general election, indicating in her Facebook message that the constitutional stability and administration continuity are crucial to the nation’s economic development; thus, all must set aside their differences and join hands in bringing democracy back to the nation.

she did stand for the cancelled election and the reds won at polling stations, so it looks like she will be standing and has almost a certain chance to win.

as to "reducing political frictions" she was outstanding in dealing with the street mob, offering dialogue numeral times, calling for a new election

I can only assume you are being sarcastic as no sensible person could believe what you have written

no, I'm serious.

you don't believe she had won 2x at elections?

you don't believe she will stand again?

you believe she didn't offer dialogue to protesters

you believe she didn't call for a new election?

The Question is , whether the good lady PM wishes to continue to do the dirty work for her brother, I personally think that PM Yingluck is too nice a person to continue, the lady was given a task that turned into a nightmare (Thaskin another miss -calculation) , her personal reputation was one of the highest till this little saga, before PM Yingluck completely destroys her good name or what is left of it and tells her brother to go take a jump and go's back to what she knows best, running her own business , because as a PM you sure don't know how to run a country and neither dose your brother.bah.gif

cheesy.gif Are you kididing?

She has nothing to do with the decision if she 'runs" or not.

It all depends on her instructions from "big brother" in Dubai.

Her opinion is meaningless, "big brother" makes all the decisions for litttle miss Fluffhead.

Just RUN AWAY instead puppet; you're good at (only) that ! Oh yeah, thats right, she is always in hiding and running from responsibility anyway..... Just keep running.

1. She doesn't use facebook- thats one of her handlers or someone she handles. She is incompetent in Thai and English & some facebook site has no credibility. Is that what the so-called PM is reduced to is facebook posts and a family handler dictating things via skype? The world has never seen such a set of monkeys in such a banana republic.

2. She never addresses anything directly, just says some general nonsense statement about 'be peaceful, respect the law, me woman-woman run Thailand can' etc.

3. The disgraceful toddler brained girl has been in hiding in ways that leaders don't. Goodbye soon. Happy hiding (and shopping with the graft acquired from other peoples' money).

You are not being fair. She is a very shopper and puts a lot of time into it.

Run? I thought she injured her ankle.

Sent from my iPhone using ThaiVisa app

It was only a sympathy statement good for a day or two.

Well, if we could have a look into her bank account, we would ask ourself if she is stupid or if maybe we are stupid....I guess she makes more in a day than we together in a year....

Wealth is not necessarily a sign of intelligence and / or education. Having the right family name is.

"Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra has yet to decide whether she will run for a second term"

She already did.

Her political opposites have self-servingly and fearfully obstructed that election and vote tabulation.

The above title a very hopeful comment by election-challenged PAD-Dem's.

Of all the narratives in recent days, this is undoubtedly the silliest. Of course she wants to contest the election. She already has expressed willingness to contest an election for a second term. It is no longer theoretical. She and Chalerm and Surapong were absolutely delighted with that election. Chalerm insisted that Pheu Thai got 300 seats in parliament - his " official " count - more than the 265 seats they got the last time. Yes, it was all sugar and cream back them. Surapong had initiated a new list of countries who were beyond excitement. Seven weeks later, no one sits in parliament, even Chalerm. Yingluck has even forgotten what her office looks like. She's back though - on facebook. Democracy is alive and well on her facebook page. But one notable, shining thing had changed. She now openly acknowledges that her premiership will rest with the ruling of the NACC - and by inference a Senate vote that follows it if such an action were recommended. And that is the very first time she's done that.

Everybody else except Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra has yet to decide whether she will run for a second term.

You were absolutely right! Surapong has already decided for her laugh.png

Caretaker Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Surapong Tovichakchaikul Thursday denied that caretaker Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra would skip the next election.
