1- Bangkok Air from U-Tapao to Samui Direct - http://www.bangkokair.com/eng/promotions/bestfares/to:pattaya-samui

2- Bangkok Air from Don Muang to Samui Direct - http://www.bangkokair.com/eng/promotions/bestfares/to:samui

3- Bus from Pattaya to Bus Terminal in Bangkok - http://www.pattayabus.com/en/routes-schedules/pattaya-to-bangkok

then with Lomprayah Bus to Chumporn and then with Ferry to Samui

http://www.lomprayah.com/e/route.htm

Approx Price for Nr 1 and 2 is 5000-6000 THB and will take approx 3-6 hours

Approx Price for Nr 3 is 1500 THB and will take 14+ hours

You will first sit on a bus from BKK - Chumpon and then go onto the Ferry

The ferry is only 3 hours ++ as it leaves from Chumpon and first will arrive at Koh Tao then Koh Phangan and then Koh Samui.

If the weather is bad (rainy season ??) you will be in for a rough ride.

Ps: Maybe an alternative could be a train ride from Bkk- Surat Thani and then the Ferry to Samui ?

So Mcmj,i should be there on Monday at 2 pm..............appx,what time i have to start? The price from Pattaya to Samui is just 1500 baht?

Please note that price is approx so it could be higher !!!

But to break that price down

60-80 Thb Taxi Hotel -> Pattaya Bus Station

130++ from Pattaya to BKK Bus station

150++ from BKK to Lomprayah Pick up point

1300++ From BKK to Koh Samui look at website from Lomprayah

If you need to be there at 2pm on Monday you should start on Saturday or at the latest early Sunday as it takes 14++ hours and there could be many delays.

If it was me I would leave on Friday just to be sure that I would arrive on time (but that's me)

Ps: Please note you have to call Lomprayah if there is availability on the route BKK -> Samui as it's approaching Holiday time (Songkran)

Their BKK branch is located here

Nok Air has a DMK-Surat Thani Plane-van-ferry package deal to Koh Samui. It's hard to find on their website, tucked at the end of a pull down menu. Takes about 7 hours.

Too late now for this time, but this is how I would do it. Book a combined ticket (train + bus + ferry) at any tour agent. Total cost about 1,000 bht.

Afternoon train from Pattaya to Hua Lamphong, Bkk. 19.30 overnight sleeper train no. 85 to Surat Thani arriving 07.16.

Shuttle bus to Donsak. Ferry to Koh S arriving 10.30.

Arrive relaxed and refreshed after a good comfy sleep.

Save yourself a head ache and a dangerous bus journey and fly u-tapao to chaweng. Easy.
