PM Yingluck visits temple in Chiang Mai

CHIANG MAI, 15 April 2014 (NNT) – Prime Minister and Defense Minister Yingluck Shinawatra is currently in her hometown, Chiang Mai, where she visited a temple to make merit on the occasion of Songkran Festival.

The Premier proceeded to Wat Chai Mongkhon in Mueang District to take part in a bathing rite of Buddha images, pay respect to the Statue of King Rama V, give offerings and necessities to monks, and release fish and birds.

During her visit, Miss Yingluck was greeted by Chiang Mai Governor Wichian Puttiwinyu. She also received flowers from her supporters who were there to cheer her up.

Earlier, the Premier gave her blessing to civil servants and people in Chiang Mai. She wished all of them happiness, prosperity, and all the good things in life.

Meanwhile, a survey conducted by Suan Dusit Poll said that Prime Minister Yingluck is the number one female politician Thai people want to celebrate Songkran with.

Earlier the Premier gave her blessing ????????? <deleted> !! Firstly she is only the part time caretaker and I thought the Pope or religious leaders give blessings, not some over rated woman.

Is this very similar to Bess in the UK dropping in to see West Minster Abbey, so what!coffee1.gif

Not..! The Big difference is that we in the UK , we love our Queen.. wai2.gif

Bit of an assumption isn't it?

Oh the pettiness of the bitter brigade - a blessing is the approval of something that helps or brings happiness to other people. Religion doesn't have to have anything to do with it.

She could really do with seeing the rest of the country.

She won't win any more friends in Chiang Mai

Maybe another trip to the south

Wrong. I imagine the "Singha brewery heiress" IS the darling of Sutheps/anti-government demonstrators. smile.png

Gave her blessings - how wonderful. Just like she vowed the farmers would be paid several weeks ago, asked the Ombudsman for more time to answer his questions - nearly 3 years ago!

Any utterances are meaningless and insincere. She only gives a toss about the clan and its desperate attempts to cling on to power. Anything she says is just window dressing.

She visited the temple cos she's tired of asking big bruv for help, now she's consulting a higher entity! giggle.gif

the temple unfortunately does not have a higher entity. Its a way to live your life. She lives her life very different to Buddha.

What's the big deal?

The PM (whether a caretaker or not) is expected to go to a place of worship in their country on a religious occasion.

The nonsense about giving her blessing is just crap journalism, which is also expected in most countries these days.

The Shinawats are not the Borgias.... even if they'd like to be. wink.png

Are you desperate to keep your post count up?

Given the current political complications one should expect a prime minister / care taker prime minister / fake care taker prime minister to be reported as being involved in serious discussions and reports in regard to the current political situation.

But we see nothing / zero from her and to cap off the current joke of a situation, which she, her brother and the pt / udd leeches have generated, we see the convicted puppet master making specific reports and asking for specific actions to gain resolution to the political impasse, and his comments lack truth.

And within a few days he'll probably repeat his statements that he's no longer involved in Thai politics.

The wheels must have fallen off that policy - just like the rest of her policies
