Popular Post Jingthing Posted April 22, 2014 Popular Post Posted April 22, 2014 Gay In A Box -- The Whole Truth, everything you wanted to know about Gays. Here is the concept. Here is a space for NON-GAYS to ask a "gay" anything they want (normal forum rules apply regarding slurs, etc.). Then one of our "gays" answers the question. Here is the twist: ONLY ONE ANSWER ALLOWED! No debates between the "gays" as to whether the answer was correct or not. First gay that comes, that's the Gay In A Box who gets to answer. If this ONE ANSWER ONLY structure is not followed, the thread won't work and will just become a chaotic MESS. So please respect the ONE ANSWER ONLY rule. Here's a sample of the program: NON-GAY asks -- Why won't gay men be caught dead in Docker's pant? GAY answers -- (Whatever he answers) That's it. ONE question. ONE answer. Then move on and wait for the NEXT question. Clear enough? __________ This thread directly inspired by the "Jew In A Box" art installation exhibit in Berlin Germany. http://jezebel.com/5993022/jew-in-the-box-exhibition-at-berlins-jewish-museum-unsurprisingly-elicits-controversy 3
alyx Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 Interesting concept but two questions pop up to mind, and a remark 1) this is a gay forum: how many "non gay" do you expect to read this forum and this very thread ? Of course some of us "non gay" do read it but I guess that the ratio would be very low and, therefore, you might get only one question a month 2) how would you be sure that the question comes from a "non gay"? 3) the kind of questions asked by a "non gay" to a "gay" revolves about one of two themes, making the number of questions very small
Popular Post wooloomooloo Posted April 22, 2014 Popular Post Posted April 22, 2014 Q: My name is Malcolm and I think it's a girly name. Should I change my name and, if so, could you advise a suitably non-girly name? 3

Tsk tsk!

rhythmworx Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 Is a Gay in a Box is the opposite of a Jack in a Box? I can't imagine a gay person jumping out of a box, jumping in maybe, (wish I hadn't thought of that now). The original Jack in a box was obviously not invented by a gay person, other wise you'd press a button and he would get in the box. Maybe I've drank to much Leffe...

Popular Post BookMan Posted April 22, 2014 Popular Post Posted April 22, 2014 Why is it so important for a vocal minority of Gay people to have public recognition of their 'gayness'? Is it because their sexuality defines them? Why the need to shout it from the rooftops constantly? Personally, I would find it very limiting for personal growth by making everything i do and say in my life tied to my sexuality. 6

As you didn't know, the above can stand. Perhaps one of the many Gays In The Boxes will care to answer that monster.
