Acupuncture in Jomtien/Pattaya

Featured Replies

I wanted to try this to help with my legs. Does anyone know if there is a Dr. in Jomtien? I have looked at the previous posts and don't have up to date information. I realize I might have to travel to Pattaya to find a popular clinic.

Thanks Bug. I see Sheryl updated the pinned post on Acupuncture at the top of the page. With a little more info she might add it to the post.

Thank You

You can get it half price; half the time and they don't even use needles, but tests have shown this method to be equally effective.

FYI there is a very good Chinese Medicine and acupuncture clinic at St Louis hospital, Sathorn, Bangkok

Before you are parted from your money, here is a science based assessment of acupuncture

"Pain is a big problem. If you read about pain manage-ment centers, you might think it had been solved. It has not. And when no effective treatment exists for a medical problem, it leads to a tendency to clutch at straws. Research has shown that acupuncture is little more than such a straw. "

I can remember you talking about this before.

The reason I asked for the cost is, I found a Thai guy not far from where I live that does Acupuncture , he calls himself a Doctor, I call him a quack!

He wants 1,000B for a 1 hour massage and 2,000B for Acupuncture treatment. He totally lost me when he said that he had cured people with Polio.

If I remember correctly, about 700 baht a session, plus you may want to have Chinese medicine which is extra and cost depends on ingredients.

I thought the treatment excellent.

Anyone who cares about the environment and and their health would give TCM a wide birth. Apart from having no scientific evidence of efficacy, practitioners have no qualifications to make diagnoses (therefore how can they even begin to treat?) and the medicines involved are as we speak putting massive pressure on the vey existence of the worlds flora and fauna.
