Well as most returants start out good and go down hill , this ones the exception . Ate there again yesterday the food was wonderful as it was the first time I tried it .... They have specials now too which makes it even better . One of the best and cleanest places I ev eaten at in a long time !!!!!

It's only been month give it time sad.png. I've mentioned before that I've found that after becoming popular here some restaurant's food quality or/and or amount go down, the prices go up or all of the above. They rest on their laurels of a few months work (a rudimentary rule is one should be capitalized for a year as many don't start turning a profit until then) and basically get get lazy and/or greedy. Most often with the place dying within six months, well at least they get closure tongue.png. Looking forward to trying Pho Anh and wishing them continued success and a long life!

I found a nice little hole-in-the-wall Vietnamese place in the back of the parking lot across the street from Shangri-La on Chang Klang.

Looks like a typical simple Thai joint but Pho Vieng Chane is pretty good for what it is. My 45 bht bowl of beef pho had a nicely seasoned broth tasting of the correct aromatics. Only one kind of beef (brisket) and Thai Chili sauce as a condiment (nor I didn't see any Hoisin Sauce). Tried two other dishes that were good too, one was a deep fried ball of sticky that was dipped in egg with spicy sauce on the side. The only one that wasn't too good was the fresh spring rolls, lacked flavor and the pork inside was dry. Hey this is an inexpensive, on the price tier of a street stall and although the seating area, I won't go so far as to describe it as a dining room, isn't much to write home about it did what it did respectably and I believe it's been doing that there for a while there.

I like that place too, but it is almost always filled with Thais, so not easy to get a seat sometimes.
