From A major English newspaper today...

"Two senior Immigration Police officers have been moved to police headquarters permanently after an investigation found them linked to an alleged visa scam. National police chief Adul Saengsingkaew

on Thursday transferred Pol Maj Gen Kriengsak Arunsrisophon, chief of the bureau's Division 3, and Theerachai Detkhad, chief of the Sa Kaeo office, to the main office... for aiding and abating a local travel company to issue visa to foreigners with out leaving the country for b. 6,000.....

Dose any one need any more proofs as to what is the moral integrity in this country lies?

A police major general... no less....

I read that also.

I think was more than likely bogus extensions rather than visas. Immigration is very limited on the visas they can issue and are only good for the date issued,

There have been several reports on here of people getting extensions through an agency that were certainly not legit. Some were done as medical treatment extensions.

I wonder how many people are going to get an unpleasant surprise when they find out their extension is not valid.

All the more reason not to use an agent.

This has been common knowledge for years and hundreds (if not thousands) of expats use such agency services.

If they were suddenly to be clamped down I suspect that there will be many more Falangs on overstay.

I think somebody has crossed a line, or stepped on somebody else's territory because I am sure that the 'tea money' from these extensions is vast.
