Interested in Learning Thai in Mahasarakham?

Featured Replies

I am currently attempting to learn Thai via various web sites with a limited amount of success. I was chatting to an Aussie last night and he too is trying to learn the language. If I was able to source a teacher who could teach Thai to a small group of us would anyone be interested in joining? I am thinking about a couple of hours a week.

im in msk now but constantly travelling so could not join a group but would be interested to have details of a teacher so that i could arrange lessons when in msk.good on you mr yim for posts .

If you contact MSU, they sometimes organise classes for foreign students before the start of the new semester. It's mainly for Vietnamese/Chinese/Cambodians who will then study at the university afterwards, but if they have spots available might be able to include you. At least this is what MSU told me a few years back, when I asked them to send me more information about the specifics, they never gotback to me, and I subsequently moved to another province, so didn't follow up with them either lol.

I am only in Mahasarakham for the next 6weeks, but will like to learn as I am getting frustrated with not knowing the language. Ordered eggs for breakfast and got soup.

If you know of any courses will like to join.

OK . . . Good response so far. I will look into finding someone able to teach farangs and look into the costs. If you could PM me your mobile numbers I will call you and have a chat. Then we can take it from there.

Cheers

At the moment I stay both in Norway and Thailand. But I hope to live in Thailand for good next year. I have a Thai friend that says that his old teacher at school is willing to teach me Thai. I have met the man so I know that he doesn't speak to much English, but for me that's not a problem. What I was thinking about was at least 2 hours 5 days a week for a period of 3 month. Less than that I think is a waste of time (and money).

Wow. . . that is pretty intense and way beyond the likes of me. I was thinking more along the lines of 1 hour twice a week.

OK guys, I personally know of 3 others in Mahasarakham who want to learn Thai so it's a "goer". I am waiting to hear back from a fourth year English major student (the girl friend of an English teacher) who is at Mahasarakham University, who all being well will teach us. Anyone still interested please send me a private message with your telephone number and we can get the wheels in motion.
