Phra Buddha Isara injured by water canon, teargas

Interesting Prbkk and some other posters see anyone disagreeing with Thaksin, PTP, UDD as fit for attack with all manner of insults. Those serving their master are beyond reproach.

Presumably Prbkk thinks all the ousted former cabinet members are freedom fighters fighting for justice and democracy, ready to sacrifice themselves and honest as the day is long. whistling.gif

One suspects the posters mentioned would be hurling M-79 grenades at the other TV members who disagreed with them, if they could...rolleyes.gif

Maybe someone could come up with a M-79 "smilely" for the rabid reds TV posters so they can feel more at one with their "redness"... whistling.gif

or how about a "burn Bangkok" smiley or a Jataporn/Thaksin/Yingluck Smiley.....we already have a drunken smilely which can be used for the esteemed minister for ear medicine...

What happens to Chaengwatthana protestors when the guards are not there? girlbomb.gif

By the same logic YL was a fake PM as it has been proved she broke the rules governing her position. She was not fake, just in contravention of the rules, and so is he. Until he is thrown out, like she was, then he still is a monk just as she still was (caretaker) PM. There is reason for him to be disrobed, as you point out, but that does not make him fake - just not very obedient of his vows. Does he deserve less respect for such? Did YL before she was sacked?

Actually their ordained status is forfeit after committing certain transgressions, and depending on the severity of the transgression. To take an extreme example, a monk is no longer a monk immediately after he commits murder, the disrobing is just a formality

Interesting I was unaware of that - thanks for the info. I guess if he has condoned violence then that would be one such transgression, not sure protesting (or "acting as a laymen") would be construed as severe enough??? Personally I would like to either see him go back to his temple and stay out of it, or take his robes off - I think whatever side you are on (or none - like me) it would be hard not to agree that he is using his position as a monk overtly and thus bringing it into disrepute.

does that go for red shirt monks spraying blood round abhisits house or are they exempt?

Are you asking me? I have no idea - I would suggest it is an animist act and likely against the rules, but monks here do that all the time with amulet making, fortune telling, numerology, tattoos and even some of the blessings they do.

Putting on orange robes and shaving your head does not a monk make! This clown is about as much of a monk as I am.

Prove it!

Very simple. Monks are supposed to be non-violent, yet his "bodyguards" have numerous accounts of beating, shooting and killing people, which he condones, citing his own safety as justifiable reasons. Monks are forbidden to take part in politics, yet here he is leading one of the biggest, and most violent in regards to "guards", protest groups. Is that simple enough for you to understand?

"Monks are forbidden to take part in politics,................."

Quite true and to prove it here are some pictures of non-political monks.

A truly heartwarming story. You don't get many on here. This dangerous monk got exactly what he deserved. Peaceful protesters do not adopt the mob mentality, tear down barricades and try to storm buildings. Gees if he did this at an Australian police facility he would already be sitting in a cell charged with serious criminal offences. The BIB used reasonable and minimal force against this mob and should be commended. As for the idiot wanting to file attempted murder charges what an absolute joke. Is he really that big of a Moron?

You really do need to read more. If you had, you would have seen the NUMEROUS accounts of PDRC guards, ESPECIALLY THOSE OF THE MONK, beating and shooting people with no provocation, or simply because they "thought" someone might be planning to do something against them, with no proof. Or do you simply read and ignore/forget about things that don't follow your Yellow way of thinking, just as many Red shirts do?

You are seriously accusing me of being a Red Shirt? Wow man, take a pill! I never said anything the sort of what you have espoused - you seriously need to take you Thorazine man, your are seeing things!

I even called it a disgusting in post #78 (http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/724824-phra-buddha-isara-injured-by-water-canon-teargas/?p=7797051)

is when it get bloody (and I am not referring to the disgusting act of pouring live human blood over peoples homes and offices).

You asked a question, I answered it as best I could - not being an expert on the Sangha. I also said in my view it WAS against the rules - it seems the only twisted logic is YOURS!

To be on topic we could cheer the police managing to injure a monk and some protesters. Like the red-shirts cheered a few dead protesters (but not the children as some have it)

can t seem to remember these people using the same kind of violence as the red militia and the capo? They haven t shot rockets, guns, water guns, tear gas. Enlighten me please? So which side are the thugs, hoons, animals again?

Did you mis post there prbkk? Oh no, no matter what all your posts are biased. Anyway, I am not at all for monks protesting unless it is for a true social cause, for the people. And these protests, both his, the reds and Suthep are significantly political. Monks should try to steer clear and urge for reason, meta and panna (wisdom). Still no reason to fire water cannons and tear gas.

Still no reason to fire water cannons and tear gas.

What? They tore down barriers, were warned not to enter and disperse. The monk bared his naked rear end at authority and tried to force his way into a police building. God only knows what would have happened when the mob surrounded people and took over.

This was in Thaivisa news today

Suthep now ordering protesters to bring Acting PM, cabinet ministers & DSI chief to meet him at Government House.

I am sure the authorities were aware of this order and even tho Suthep did not specify the heads of CAPO, the authorities would have been very concerned about the way the Mad Monk and his mob were trying to force their way into the complex.

They would have been concerned that he didn't want to talk to them but round them up as political prisoners for bargaining power along with the Acting PM, Cabinet Ministers and DSI Chief.

This was suppose to be Sutheps final battle and Victory and what better way to achieve it with all the high ranking political figures as hostages.

Yes I believe that the BIB acted correctly, and used minimal force to prevent a possible abduction/kidnapping

Do those monks even read what goes on on TV? ha ha...

He shouldn't be afraid to die - because if he was really and honestly fighting for a higher cause, he will be reborn is a state of grace or he might even reach that state of enlightenment many Buddhists aspire for.. or are the temptations of Earthly desires too tempting?

If people really wanted to murder the fake monk, I doubt they would use a water cannon... Just a thought and not a suggestion...

Most people I have talked to , in Temples and outside of Temples, believe this monk is fake and will be reborn as a dog, or a buffalo, due to the bad karma he has generated and the damage he has done to Buddhism

Many monks I know believe red shirt sympathisers on TV will be reborn as cockroaches or rats for the insults they've made to normal peoples intelligence!!!!!!

Shit happens. What was the socalled monk doing anyway? He is a <deleted>.

He was leading from the front, a trait not shared by those on the other side of the political spectrum.

And note he was peaceful, while the CAPO leaders, are shouldn't be leaders anymore since the CC ruling and act with violence.....They are now as much CAPO leaders as I am.

Just unbelievable! And where is the army?

CAPO was lucky Issara's armed guards didn't open fire this time. From rhe perspective of the police, Issara advances with armed guards with a history of violence first, talk later. Issara should have got the message to stop but now he carries the burden of arrogance and sense of invulnerability to the nature of man and has forgotten his buddhist teachings.

Where is the photographic evidence that said monk bared his posterior ?

And one little monk on his own trying to force his way in required water canon and teargas to stop him ?.....what does he have.. ? super powers or something ? Rambo in an orange robe ?...why couldn't s couple of the RTP's finest restrained him ?

seems to me the response was a little excessive against a single man in an orange robe...

Fact

If there were no protests there wouldn't have been any deaths!!

Fact

More people have been killed in road accidents than at these protests

Fact

More people have died through non political acts of violence than at protests

What's your point Mr. I only deal and talk facts ???

How do you know about this? Are you privvy to the information on these protests in correlation to deaths? Have you got the road death numbers and protest death numbers? Where are the non political deaths vs protest deaths? or are you taking someone else's words as face value?

Have you got the facts at hand to back up your claims or are you just talking speculation and guessing??

I want evidence that had there not been protests that there would be no deaths. It's fine if you're not able to provide this evidence, it's as I suspect it's just another opinion here on TVF that is one of many that mean diddly squat. wink.png

I want evidence that more have died in road accidents than protests. Not just off one source as that might be false. I need 4 sources. It's fine if you're not able to provide this evidence, it's as I suspect it's just another opinion here on TVF that is one of many that mean diddly squat. wink.png

I want evidence that more people have died through non political means than at protests in the form of police reports, trends and witness statements from every person that has died in non political means. It's fine if you're not able to provide this evidence, it's as I suspect it's just another opinion here on TVF that is one of many that mean diddly squat wink.png

This is a reasonable request of evidence and even if you are not able to gather that evidence because you only use online media to gather your facts that is not acceptable since you have asked the same of me here.
