Hire a songtiew.

You can hire a guy with a pick-up truck in front of Wat Phra Singh. They are parked outside in the afternoons with mobile telephone numbers displayed. You book them for the following day. Just let them know what time and where - but they prefer mornings. Expect to pay about 400 Baht for about 2 1/2 hours. They have rope, rain tarps, etc. They are not professional movers but can at least secure your stuff, keep it dry, etc. They are fine for moving boxes, suitcases, light furniture, fans, a TV, a few plants, etc. They won't carry heavy furniture upstairs and things like that...
