Well, there is no excuse for anyone to assault a woman like that, or attempt to (if that's what happened). The taxi driver is supposed to be in a position of professional trust (yeah, right); why would anyone jump into a canal at 3am? She's out after curfew - - - going home presumably --- well, … what was the taxi driver doing out after curfew? I sympathise with the woman, although she should go home earlier, and not drink quite so much ! ;)
