Bus transfer from Phuket Airport to Kamala beach

Featured Replies

Who can give the latest possibilities to get to Kamala beach by bus on an arrival today at 8.15pm with Air Asia. We are 3 adults with low luggage. I found one Bus that I could take for 50Bt to Thalang and then take a Taxi. There are no updated timetables in the net. Thanks

If you are trying to get to Kamala 'on the cheap', the best option would be to take one of the shared minibuses from the airport - probably cost about 200 baht per person and guaranteed not to take longer than 8 hours journey time......

Since this is really specific to Phuket, why don't we try it over in the Phuket forum. OK?

Hi Simon,

Thanks for the tip. Its 26km to Kamala from the Airport and these mini vans charge 700 to 800. I have been reading the horror stories about the Taxi Mafia. As I do not look European, I may have a better chance to find something at a normal rate. I can pre book a cab for 700 to Kamala. Will see what comes out at 8.30 pm.

The shared min vans from airport to Kamala cost about 180 baht/person. Trouble is you might need to wait a short time until the mini bus fills up.

Just arrange a taxi as you exit the Airport there are plenty avaliable 700 Baht divided by 3 is 234 baht each
