I put it at something like a lighter Pilsner Urquell, which means I like it a lot.

Mr UG sir, I have only tried Beer Lao on 1 occasion on a PP, Cambo trip. I was not impressed. The beer was in a can and cold.

I had the same experince when I first drank beer Lao 4 years ago out of can. I was wondering what the big deal was but then I had some in a bottle. No doubt bottle is better! In my opinion beer Lao is a little to hyped up but it is good and I would buy it if/when it becomes more available in Thailand.
