I used to have to work for a living.

I used to go out and hope to meet pretty women.

I used to have to chat up and try to impress pretty women.

I used to have to spend fortunes on dating pretty women.

I used to have to wait weeks sometimes months before i could xxxx pretty women.thumbsup.gif

And listen to the late great Roy Orbison singing "Pretty Woman, walkiing down the street"

What did I have to do in my 'home'country, and not here...

- looking for my bike at 3 in the night, in the rain...

- looking for a taxi, because my bike was stolen again.

- secure/lock everything with lots of different locks, including my front door

- worry about neighbours complaining about noise

- worry about police following me, after one or two drinks too many..

- use toilet paper ( yes, again...)

- spend lots of money on warm clothing

- spend money on dating ladies, without getting l..d.

Much has already been said, so I will just add:

- paperwork, tons of it, letter boxes full of the cr*p, filling cabinets to sort them out...

Here, two bills a month, a ziplock for a few keepers. End of story.

Aw, you could have just used your fingers, then washed them afterwards, that way the hairs won't have stuck together.

to be interested to me , i would put the topic the other way round.

what can i do in my country that i can not do in thailand.......the list is long and there is quiet a lot of things like repairing your own roof, change a broken light in the bar rented by your wife or serve a foreign customer in your own resort without a work permit for example.

it is not only for critizising but work permit and visa conditions in thailand could be honestly be rewied by the new and efficient new military government.

i guess they are really busy right now, but i hope they will have time in the future to find the time to give us better stay conditions.

thanks in advance

Put up with all the stress of daily life in a "civilized" country.

Live in pain on highly addictive legal drugs

Put up with shitty medical care

be politically correct

Yes, like get rid of the stupid 90 day reporting, and making it easier to get the visa based on marriage.

Work, masturbate.

Masturbate???? I thought that was only for frustrated people.

You misunderstood him.

He meant work for Master Bates.

and what work would that be?

In America we have clean streets, sidewalks that do not have parking, and drivers that respect the law. We have clean air and do not allow smoke to come out of the tail pipe. People that work in the supermarkets don't slump behind the counters and eat or put on makeup. This is about enough or just enough for some house bound expat to tell me to go home if its so good there. Well, remember the question was what do you have in your home country. Did I mention shoes that fit me, size that is. I give a lot of these things up to stay in Thailand, Why? Well, thats for another topic. Sock it to me "house-bound"
