Can't access epsn.com due to some central investigation message

Featured Replies

Whenever I try to get to espn.com or espn.go.com I get some sort of government message about central investigation bureau. Is anyone else seeing this?

"www.espn.go.com" works for me in BKK. It's probably a temporary glitch

Strange, as above the www.espn.go.com resolves, but just espn.go.com goes to this image http://image.free.in.th/v/2013/is/140603064747.jpg

Moi aussi, TOT fibre in Central Bangkok.

That doesn't mean "I'm Aussie" in French does it? I can't quite understand your sentence there Crossy.

It's a ....... way of saying "me too"tongue.png

Same problem with cbssportsline.com. Odd.

So it happened to you too, espn blocked...

Why would they block Sports website???

I will bet they block it so as not to enable bettors

I thought I read somewhere that they were blocking some websites to curb gambling. Someone probably got carried away and started blocking any sports sites.

The site includes "Streak for the Cash", which is apparently a form of gaming, with prizes of up to US $240,000. Tenuous, I know, but more probably than simply blocking all sports sites.

Same here. No ESPN access. The gambling angle the most likely explanation.

Same here...on True DOCSIS in Bangkok.

no luck for me either.. TOT DSL in chanthaburi

been blocked for 2 days... the "www.espn.go.com" trick gets you to the main page but my sub pages are still blocked... but at least i can view box scores and fantasy sports. i hope this goes away after the world cup is over

Very very very ignorant and stupid..... Ugh, I spend half my day on espn.com. Cant believe they would block a sports site, probably the biggest sports site in the world. Hopefully they unblock after the world cup, but I highly doubt it... Doesnt seem like something they would undo.

This is a really idiotic way to "curb gambling". First of all, you can not gamble on espn.com..... Second, even if you could, how many Thais would be using this site? Or any gambling website? If they want to stop the gambling "problem" they need to start in the local bars. Ugh, Thailand priorities at its best.

I can access the mobile site, but the desktop/full site is blocked.
