Mobility Scooter Wanted for Disabled Lady

Featured Replies

I have been acquainted with a couple of ladies in a small village outside Chiang Mai for some time

Last year with the help of some Thai Visa members we improved the accommodation in which they live (see link)

http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/655577-two-disabled-ladies-requiring-help/

Yai and Noi have had a very hard life being twin sisters who are suffering from Achondrplasia or Dwarfism as it is more commonly known

they are now approaching 60 yrs and still have to work to put food on the table...they work at a small factory peeling onions

where they earn approximately 40 baht a day each....apart from the small amount of cash they make it is also their social life as they

get to spend time with other ladies in the village...when not at work they spend their time at home

Yai has arthritis in one of her hips which is compounded by her disability and is finding it increasingly difficult to walk the 200m

to her place of work

I would like to ask TV posters if they have or know of anyone who may have a mobility scooter that isnt being used maybe from

a deceased relative or from injuries that they have now recovered from

please note as per Thai Visa rules that we are not asking for financial donations
