Hi!!

I'm new to this website so please bare with me :)

My family will be moving to Hangdong in a few months for our son to attend LIST next year!! I was wondering if in Hangdong or nearby areas have any playgroups, art lessons, swimming lessons etc. That we could join whilst waiting to attend school? Just for and hour or so each day where he could have a lil fun and play with other children as hes an only child.

Ours is 2. He has just started - 6 weeks ago - attending the Sunshine pre-school nursery school and is really enjoying it. Very young, I know, but he seems very happy there. It's English language, 9.30-3.30. Then's there's Nick's restaurant and playground, also in the Hangdong area, a good place to take little kids to play for an hour or two with other children under joint parental supervision. On Sunday he went (with his mum) to the Chiang Mai Leo Club, also Hangdong, but no chance to evaluate so far.

He's due to go to Lanna International School (kindergarten stage) next year (2015) September - an excellent non-religious English language institution with a fine track record that I have known for more than 20 years.

You can find all these institutions on Google easily enough, but let me know if you have any problems or questions.

    Sunshine - which is recommended by LIST - is around 30,000 Baht per term, LIST is around 50,000 plus 10,000 once-off registration per term. But for the latter at least you need to book as soon as possible, as demand for places outstrips supply. I have already paid registration and first term fees for September 2015.
