have a computer headset which seems to have a loose wire, was about 2000baht 18months ago so thought i might see if i can get it repaired cheaper than replacement

any ideas on a shop that might be able to do this?

You may have a problem. I bought an expensive pair back duty free as I left Australia. Was a little enthusiastic with the scissors when getting it out of the person proof packaging. Tried 3 times to get it repaired but all failed though we did manage to get both headphones working but not the mike. They seem to consist of wires made up of many plastic coated conducters and did not solder well. THe guy at Amorn did seem tto do the best job.
