Best dentist in Chiang Mai?

Could anyone recommend me a good dentist in CM?

Price doesn't matter too much as long as it's good quality, since I get most of it paid back by my medical insurance. Preferably nothing very expensive though, since there is still about 20% to pay..

Thanks!

Just off to my 6th and final (I hope) appointment at Elite by Panthip Plaza-root canal etc etc.

Very professional, virtually pain free and have all the kit. Not cheap but no decent dentist is here.

Which endodontist is now doing your root canal?

Not sure what you ean by "nothing very expensive" That said, even the best dental clinics here charge a lot less than I pay in the USA. I would estimate for most procedures maybe 20 percent of the cost of doing it there. Good clinics are Dentaland, where I go, Grace, and Elite. I'm sure there are others, too. The quality of dentistry here is excellent if you're willing to pay for it.

I'm sorry I dont know his name but a thai guy about 30 something with good english, who goes to elite from other clinics at about 5pm every day.

I thought he was their only endo?

At the outset they quoted me 46k and I settled up today at 31.5k as they were able to avoid some procedures they had anticipated. Clearly they are not inventing work unnecessarily.

I find their costs very similar to Spain which surprises me, but far less than UK-which doesnt surprise!

I only asked because the endodontist I use there is Dr Joy, who I have found to be excellent and liberal with anaesthesia. She has been on maternity leave and a month ago she hadn't returned, so just wondered if you used the same person and she's now back.

I had a root canal filling and a crown at Elite last December and the total cost was 16,500 baht. You seem to be paying a lot.

Not at all. Root canal, new post, a 3 tooth permanent bridge costing 24k- 6 sessions, great value in my view, and experience elsewhere.
