Sukhumbhand's ruling scheduled Sept 5

BANGKOK: -- The Court of Appeals will issue a ruling on the alleged election law violation case against suspended Bangkok Governor Sukhumbhand Paribatra on September 5.

The court set the ruling date after Sukhumbhand's lawyer presented accounts of three defence witnesses to the court.

The Election Commission voted 3:2 to disqualify Sukhumbhand on ground that a Democrat member campaigned for him by allegedly framing the Sukhumbhand's rival candidate from the Pheu Thai.

The EC's decision has to be endorsed or rejected by the court.

where else can you lose your elected status not for what you did or said but what someone else has said without your permission or input. Makes it pretty backward when you are disqualified because someone else has upset someone and they are p*ssed because they didnt win and know that they would not have won anyway, really pathetic.

Suppose it is down to did he conspire with others.

Even if he did not know what others were doing he did have an advantage, unless it is probable without the actions of others to sway the vote he would have won the election then it should be null and voided.

If he was complicit then he should face prosecution.

Governor Sukhumbhand Paribatra must be bored. Effectively on a well-paid inactive position for months already and need to wait two more months.

Imagine what he could have done for Bangkok if only the E.C. had let him rolleyes.gif

Don't worry, they cannot ever charge in guilty because he has a very famous uncle.

As Chuan Leek Pai help up Sukhumbhands arm aloft and declared "Hes relaetd to....." As if it was to secured thousands of extra votes. Time warp people
