Really, don't bother.

I do chrome plating every year (motorbike bits) and the consensus amongst the motorbike crowd is that all of Phuket's chrome-platers are crap. It lasts six months at the most and then peels off.

Do what I do, send your parts to a reputable company up in Bangkok.
