As title suggests i need the price of a half decent power unit in Bangkok. A half decent or good 550w 2 12v rail supporting PCI-E and my motherboard is the new Asus A8R32-MVP Delux which supports crossfire. I am being quoted with 8000 B here in Kan for a power unit, also are radeon X1800XT cards available in Bangkok and how much are they? I am again being told here i cannot get them in Thailand, this all sounds rather like <deleted> to me but i just dont have the time right now to head into Bangkok to find out that they are telling the truth. Can anyone who is close to Pantip or any other computor supply area get hold of these 2 pieces of information for me, so far i am in week 3 of the 3 day build on a new comp and this is getting silly now.

So price on power unit

price on X1800XT radeon card 256 and/or 512 (standard not crossfire support)

I would be most happily grateful if anyone can find out if these are available or not, many thanks.

These are high-end products, and so although they are available in Thailand, they are a bit hard to find. However, they are available at certain shops at the major IT centers... I know that IT Mall and Pantip have them for sure.

Busitek (http://www.busitek.com/forms/pricelist.html) has the 500W PSU by Enermax, and it's nowhere near 8k baht.

HWH has the Sapphire 1800XT for 24k baht, but it may not be in stock at all their locations. You might as well go to Pantip and check... it's your best bet for exotic items.

Thanks for the info guys it seems they are available in Thailand 31,000 B is silly money for a card but 15,000 is pretty good for the X1900, i will pass this info onto the shop doing the building and see what they say, any ideas on power units and expected prices here in Thailand for the 550w unit mentioned in first post?

If i had the time i would indeed go to pantip if they dont give me any joy at my shop here i will try to make the time to go see this weekend if i can.
