BANGKOK, 11 July 2014, (NNT) - Newly appointed Commerce Permanent Secretary Chutima Boonyaprapatsorn has said she will work with transparency and do her best for the benefits of the public.

Miss Chutima thanked the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) for giving her the chance to work in the position, assuring the Council that she would work to the best of her ability. She vowed to focus her energy on enforcing transparency in the ministry’s operations and regaining the agency’s pride.

She would also address pressing issues in accordance with the NCPO’s policies, which included improving the public livelihood, stimulating local economy, creating reconciliation, and improving the performance of civil servants.

She said she would deal with trade and private investment hiccups by adjusting the ministry’s regulations, adding that the move would eventually pave the way for the arrival of the ASEAN Economic Community.

Actions speak much louder than words! I will wait to see the actions before I applaud. However, I do wish the lady lots of success and hope she can do all she says she will.
