90 day reporting and re-entry permits

Featured Replies

I am 3-4 months past when I was due to do my 90 day reporting. I am flying out of the country at the end of August and wondered what might happen if I try to get a re-entry visa at Suvarnabhumi. Will they refuse if they see that I have forgotten to do my 90 day reporting? Or will they process me regardless seeing I am flying on that day? I know at Chaeng Wattana they make you go and do your 90 day reporting (pay the fine) then they will give you a re-entry permit. Any advice on this would be much appreciated.

You will be fined 2,000 baht if you go to your immigraiton office.

At the airport they don't check 90 day reports and it has nothing to do with being on overstay or not. They will just issue a re-entry permit.

Thanks very much for the prompt reply. do you happen to know if there is generally a long queue at Suvarnabhumi to get the re-entry permit?

No, normally it is done evry quickly.

But ask before you go through immirgation. I believe only one of the two immigration areas has a re-entry permit desk.

Thanks again. My fear was that they may stop me at the airport and not issue a re-entry permit until I had done my 90 day reporting or something like that. Touch wood it should be ok.
