If it's for an ipod then iTunes can do everything you need. Actually not a bad program evern if you don't have an Ipod.

I've tried 2 or 3 different programs and have found that Itunes does a much better job of identifying albums than the other music software I use.

I'm not a fan of MP3!

WAV has naturally a very good quality of sound. Why would you like to lose quality? For CD's? If I would convert direct in Audio CD-Format.

If you want to keep the quality in a smaller file size, you might want to check out lossless audio compression formats like FLAC or SHN.
