Fimbo will be back shortly.

Yes except I have the MC version as opposed to the SC you show

Looks good.

Fim, do you ever use colour filters on any of your monochrome shots?

Great shots BTW. thumbsup.gif

No. I do all my mono conversions in software. Colour filters are only for the M Monochrome. I have the M240.

very nice images - how much photoshop was used to enhance these?

Thanks for the compliment.

Ref: post processing. I use Capture One Pro for all of my RAW files in which I have various Pre-sets that I have configured relevant to the look I'm after. I then use the NIks plug-in suite through Photoshop to fine tune. Colour Effects Pro and Analogue Effects Pro figure a lot in my workflow.

^^^ Welcome to the photo threads ciceroym! Nice pix too. BTW...what scanner are you using?

And...Saigon is one of my favourite places for pix of numerous genre....

Hi sunshine51,

I scan my negs with Coolscan 9000ED with Nikon Scan software. Spot removal with lightroom

^^^ "C"...my old Cool Scan packed it in a while back & am looking for a replacement

that's cheaper than Hassies Flextight. Know any places around BKK, Saigon?

Well, i can help you scan with a very small token. Nikon service center no longer accepts servicing of coolscan scanners?

Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

^^^ No on the Nik Service. I live in Ranong. You?

Anyway...I'll most likely get the X1 early next year

& be done with it.

I live in Bangkok. If you need my to scan your negs, just let me know. I scan 120 negs as well.

Cheers

Thanks much ciceroym much appreciated. Mind you I have around a thousand

trannies & negs left to scan since the breakdown so I can wait a while. Plus

I feel as though it would be a burdon on your scanner even with some nice meals

& bevvies thrown in to ease the task! In the past I have done a search for scanners

on the web and it seems that Amazon has some new & reconditioned jobbers but

they ain't in LOS so by the time one woud arrive (hah!) it most likely would cost

about as much as the Hassie X1. Yes the price on em is crazy but the X5 price

is crazier! And besides...the X1 will do me just fine...no need overkill, either

financially or otherwise.

Again thanks for the offer & if you're ever in the Southern climes...PM me &

perhaps we can meet up & take the Leica's out for a walk.

Sunshine's got a thousand trannies. giggle.gif

^^^ Yup M...around a thousand of em...some are also FWD trannies too!

Let's not mention transfer cases OK....the missus may get a shock...hah!

^^^^ They're no longer in rolls "c"...in flat paks & dry storage!

I meant 1-2 roll worth of negs. Around 36-72 scans. :)

Anyway, i am making a big leap into medium format. got my first TLR yesterday. :)

Horray!!!!

^^^ "C"...same-same...rolls or flat paks. I keep all my old negs flat & in dry storage.

Good luck with the TLR...which one U get? Rolleiflex?
