AIS Msg's....can I read them online?

Featured Replies

I'm going to the US for several months.  I'd like to continue to read my AIS msg's from time to time.....I will continue to do online banking with SCB and like the SMS confirmation of any activity in my account.  Is there a way I can read my SMS messages on line while I'm back in the US?

I am not aware of and it would undermine the intended security of sending SMS via the phone network instead of the internet.

So quite sure: no way.

Likely there is a roaming partner for AIS in the US? (it works in Germany, thats what I know)

As far as I know, receiving SMS is free of extra cost.

So just switch it on for the intended purpose of receiving your transaction codes.

Don't touch it otherwise.

Maybe you have to visit AIS and make sure your SIM is enabled for international roaming.

Extending validity of a prepaid SIM card up to 1 year is easy, can be done in advance while in Thailand and requires only 10 Baht top-up per 1 month validity (interested in details?)

Top-up via internet banking from abroad is also easy.

Or you have a friend in Thailand who can do it for you (no need to have the SIM/mobile phone at hand).

Did this with True 3G once. International Roaming wasn't expensive, and I had the option of turning off data altogether (to avoid ridiculous charges). Just call customer service.

I don't think I paid for incoming SMS either.
