Aside perhaps from some threads around here, what do you know about my thinking or what I might think of the problems of Detroit? New York City had similar problems during the stagflation of the 1970s but it being NYC it pulled out without too many problems to include bucks expended in the renewal project.

Is Ferguson bankrupt? Oakland? Gary, Indiana et al?

There are plenty of well run predominantly black cities with majority black governments, in the South especially but throughout the country. Everyone knows the auto industry was the basis of Detroit's economy.

Dorian Johnson, the primary witness to the shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, has an outstanding warrant for a 2011 theft in Jefferson City and pleaded guilty for filing a false police report related to that theft.

St. Louis ABC affiliate ABC 17 cross referenced Johnson’s name against several records and discovered the warrant.

Johnson will be the star witness for any potential prosecution proceedings against Officer Darren Wilson for the shooting of Brown. Johnson was walking with Brown when the shooting occurred.

Massachusetts. Four black men decided to murder the next white person they saw. That unlucky soul was a college student from Boston, whom the men stabbed to death.

Indiana. A black man was arrested for killing seven white people with a shotgun. He explained that he murdered his victims due to his deep-rooted hatred of white people.

Miami, Florida. The leader of a black supremacist sect (i.e., the Yaweh ben Yaweh cult) was convicted of the murders of several white people. He ordered his followers to kill any and all white devils. They killed at least seven white people, bringing back body parts to their leader.

North Carolina. Seven black men kidnapped a white woman, raped her, put her in a tub of bleach, shot her five times, and dumped her body. The murderers said they did this for racial reasons.

North Carolina. Four black teenagers lured a white, ten-year-old girl into an empty house. There, they sodomized her, strangled her with a cable wire, and beat her to death with a board. In the past few weeks, the trials in the Tiffany Long case have received extensive coverage in the North Carolina press. Kansas City, Missouri. An Ethiopian immigrant shot two white coworkers killing one and critically injuring the other at his workplace, then turned the gun on himself. At his residence, police found a three-page, signed note he had written in which he railed at black blood sucker supreme white people for oppressing him and black people in general.

New York City. In a Midtown office building, a white woman was assaulted, raped, and anally raped by a black man who called her racist names during the attack. Police refused to label it a hate crime.

Alexandria, Virginia. A black man walking through a neighborhood went over to a white eight-year-old boy playing in his great-grandparents front yard and slit the childs throat, killing him. Don Lemon on CNN reported last Wednesday that the killer cop Wilson did not suffer a fractured or broken eye socket, that Wilson was instead treated at hospital for swelling around his face and eyes.

CNN said Wilson's X-rays came back negative for a fractured eye socket. Lemon cited a "source close to the investigation and that source says it is not true, at all, he did not have a torn eye socket. Unequivocally."

Yet the prolific and massively financed right wingnut media circulated the lie that Wilson had a fractured eye socket, a lie that is regularly and frequently repeated here..

A right wing blogger published purported X-rays showing an eye fracture. Trouble is the X-rays had "UNIV OF IOWA" enscripted in the lower right corner. That was changed by the right wing blogger a few hours later by obliterating the source reference of the X-rays. Ferguson is of course nowhere near Iowa, some 200 miles away from it.

But the Big Lie continues to circulate. Is it a lie or is it fiction, and what would be the difference?

I watched Lemon get into an argument with a weapons expert invited to be on his panel yesterday morning.

Lemon kept trying to tell the panel member that automatic weapons could be bought because he had done so.

Once again the Ferguson police department are carrying on as if they were a top secret clandestine organization whose work is subject to no one's review or supervision, least of all that of the public.

First the FPD withheld the name of Darren Wilson the homicide cop who killed the unarmed teenager Michael Brown who had been running away from Wilson chasing after him while blasting away his firearm.

Then the police did not require Wilson to file a report. Then Wilson filed a report that had only limited information. Now Wilson has written his report but it is heavily redacted by the FPD.

This investigation being conducted by the Ferguson police department is a joke.

It is the case that certain police departments in the United States are protecting police when the departments know the police are wrong.

And the departments protecting police who they know are wrong themselves know they are wrong in doing so.
