A friend told me recently about newsify which is available on iTunes.    

 

It's a great  free app for iPhones.    I  think it rocks.

 

 

It can't access completely  newpapers which charge for content but it does rock over all the other news aggregator apps I've seen.

 

Not the same as Newsreader but  also doesn't charge $40 a month either.
