That wasn't him being stupid, it was the stallholders blocking the pavement and the authorities that allow it, that you should be calling stupid.

Some may even think that your calling that parent stupid was a more stupid thing to say.

So the guy sees the congestion on the pavement and still pushes it through the chaos and he's not stupid w00t.gif ?

I guess you have one yourself.

Not just in Bkk, but anywhere, the antisocial things should be banned. An in line double pram is the thing to use.

I 've also seen farang family's pushing a pram in the skytrain with a toddler on the arm. Happy holidays!

Go to Chinatown alleys and see the motorbikes racing through the crowds. But the whole problem is the Thai who love to have small alleys so traffic slows down and they think people will buy more of their stuff. Personally i hate the small alleys because i much bigger then a thai and no not fat.

I won't even mention what i see on the road in BKK all day, too much to mention. It's a totall madhouse and there are no rules at all. Pay a bribe now and then is the only rule.

Three + minutes red lights .bah.gifbah.gifbah.gif

Oh my gosh, that's nothing....at some major intersections in Bangkok during early morning rush hour a red light can be 10 minutes. I got caught in such an intersection early on a Monday morning in northern Bangkok...it stayed red every 3 minutes up until 7am then it switched to every 10 minutes...it took me over 30 minutes to get through that one red light...don't know what time in the morning it switches back to every 3 minutes as I've went through that red light many times later in the day and it only last 3 minutes.

Waited 40 minutes once at phaholyothin / lad prao for a red light to change ONCE. Almost burst my bladder.

So you want prams to dodge the traffic and illegal use of the sidewalk to continue.......rolleyes.gif

I was pointing out that they are antisocial anywhere, in any country, and that an inline double buggy is better. Not commenting on sidewalk use in Bkk.

You reckon. I think kids transport is exactly that, we must go with it. Obviously you don't want too. When I look at Humvee's on the road I raise an eyebrow BUT I can deal with it......smile.png

Which is why it pays to carry a bottle around to use in emergencies.

If Ihad one, I might have used it - even though I was on a bus!!

The farangs in the bars thinking that the girls actually care about them.

To the OP. Do you expect the guy who was probably pushing twins in the pram to push it on the road?

How right you are, it seems the OP expected the guy pushing the pram probably with twins in it to push it on the road.

Would you tell us what you expect the guy to do? These prams are not anti social, it's the stall holders who are, and of course the people who allow it.

I know several stoplights in BKK that really confuse me. IF they go red then nobody stops for them, i stopped many times to have other drivers horning at me that i have to drive through the red light (like everyone does). I still don't understand why they don't turn those lights off or how it works.

.

You have to remember that the Royal Family and others in high gov't positions have the roads shut down and cleared as their motorcade goes through.

Many capitol cities are that way. Washington DC has the same problems. The prez, veep, top congressmen/top senators, and a few other military, etc., travel in motorcades and cause huge unexpected back-ups.

Is that the same trick where you're in the left hand side lane and you're going straight ahead but the light is read? If so, yeah, apparently it's a "thing" and totally legit.

I may have missed it, but has the observation about evil spirits been brought up?

Chinese, for example will put a Left blinker, to go Right; and go through the Lights, because it is to fool the Ghosts - and so stop them ghosts from following a fella back to his home...
